Go-Turf — Local services in Houston

I reached out to 6 different turf companies, so feel free to skip the work if you'd like to go off of my review. I met with Shawn for a turf estimate on some areas of our backyard. He was very detail oriented with tons of residential & commercial background, and therefore was able to guide us on the best method of execution for our needs. In our case, we needed turf and some additional "cushion" to act as a play area in which we had a Tree Frog installed. The workmanship was excellent! I will go through my phone and add photos of the stages soon. I cannot speak highly enough of Shawn, his team, and the level of quality of both his product, advice, and installation. Price-wise, 4 of the companies were all on par, however, punctuality, professionalism, & execution is what set Go-Turf apart. Of the 6 companies, only 2 were timely, organized, prepared with very in depth knowledge base in relation to everything turf. My wife and I recently had artificial pet turf installed by Go-Turf in our backyard and we could not be happier with the results. Initially we reached out for quotes from three different vendors in the area and we decided on Go-Turf based on their competitive pricing, the quality of their turf products, and Shawn’s professionalism and help in answering all of our questions. I am one to do a lot of research on just about any project and my biggest concern initially with Go-Turf was their lack of reviews compared their competitors in the area. Our side yard was always impossible to keep grass alive. It receives an odd mix of no/partial/and full sun based on how it’s surrounded by 3 story homes on most sides. We tried just about every type of seed and sod grass that thrives in Houston and none would survive everywhere in the space. As a result we’ve never gotten much use out of the yard and our dog couldn’t really use it because there were always dirt patches somewhere in the yard.

We finally decided to go with the Turf route and found Shawn. He’s locally based got back to us very quickly. Installation crew was in and out in a day, and we got more use out of our yard in the first weekend with it than we’ve gotten in years.
