Houston Aura Photography- Mixed Feels — Local services in Houston

I was not impressed with the quality of service, it was pretty rushed and there wasn’t even a line. My photo was out of center and slightly out of focus. I feel like the camera was set up too close to my face. I walked up and asked if I could get a photo without the bracelet and how much that would be, she said $35. Originally the photo with the bracelet is $60. When she checked me out it was $56 and some change. I was a bit confused how it came out so much still so I said oh well if the photo is $56 can I just pay $60 and get the bracelet since it’s only $4 more? She then told me the reading for the photo made it come out to $56. I had no idea I was paying an extra $20 for the reading that lasted like 60 seconds. I thought the reading was a given. I just assumed they would be explaining to everyone getting their aura photo taken what their photo represents. I feel like if I’m getting up charged an extra $20 for a “reading” I should get a 5-10 minute reading with in depth knowledge I can walk away with and not a short summary of what’s already given on the postcard you get sent off with. Nothing she informed me was of special value. I don’t feel like what I was charged was reasonably priced and I didn’t even know I was paying extra for that. The experience just felt like it fell short and it wasn’t clear what I was paying for. I rather have paid $60 and walked away with a bracelet at least rather than a sub par reading. Very disappointing and regrettable. There should have been a menu or poster with all her prices and options to be more clear about pricing so this type of confusion doesn’t happen. I also think she should practice her readings better before deciding to charge extra for it. But honestly the reading, as I said, should just come with every photo anyways without the need to up-charge for it :/ especially if it’s just a 1 min explanation. This was my first aura reading & what made it extra special was Jewels’ young daughter! She helped with the aura reading & I loved that! Jewels is super friendly, laid back & the aura reading was easy & comfortable! She did my reading at Ironworks which I love! It’s such a cool spot & although it was a busy Saturday, it wasn’t distracting at all. 📍The reading confirmed what I was feeling intuitively & also shed some light on where some healing & growth can come for me. Actually seeing the colors come to life on the Polaroid was pretty cool too! I left with the picture of my aura, a card that described each color & a smile on my face.
