Ok, I never leave 1 star review but hear me out.... The food was terrible. Everything had a crisp refrigerator taste to it, I ordered a chicken plate and couldn't finish it because I kept choking on the chicken, it was like crunchy rubber. I can't even explain it properly without feeling grossed out. The shrimp was freezer burned and also had the consistency of rubber we had to send it back and we literally never send food back- this was a first for us. We also ordered the jalapeno poppers, the breading was hard and the inside tasted like a fridge. It literally was probably the worst tex-mex resteraunt we have ever gone to. The food was way overpriced for the quality. Maybe the 2 amigos should consider adding a third amigo because honestly, it is terrible. The only thing good about anything we ordered today was the avocado that came on top of the shrimp cocktail. The only reason I am giving 1 stars is because the waiter was quick and kind and our drinks were always full. The food gets 0 stars, we won't be returning to...

I travel all over Texas for my work. My favorite restaurant is in my hometown of San Antonio. I’ve gone everywhere from the border of Mexico all the way up to the very top of North Texas and all the way from east to west. And it’s EXTREMELY difficult to find a restaurant that even somewhat compares to the restaurant that I go to in San Antonio. However, Two Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Houston, is absolutely incredible! They are so far the only restaurant that compares with the restaurant that I frequent in San Antonio. Their food is absolutely delicious, their Ranchero sauce DOESN’T taste like spaghetti sauce it actually taste like authentic Ranchero sauce. And the ambience of the restaurant is very nice as well.
