👋 We have been long-term, loyal voodoo donuts costumers. We 1st experienced the donuts at our favorite theme park in Orlando ( universal studios). we then were super happy a location opened up in our town of Houston, TX. We since have 2 locations in town . I write to say the location in the Heights in Houston has steadily gone on a decline. Not only is the store always filthy, meaning dirty tables, no napkins, filthy and I mean filthy not messy donut displays , they don't even put all the donuts in the display, but it's always filled with an excessive amount of crumbs on the bottom ,the glass is always filthy. Restrooms are not kept clean. Sometimes, early in the morning, they don't have coffee available, and all fixtures are all covered in dust. Now, aside from the lack of cleanliness, the donuts don't look appealing anymore. I would hate to lose a store, since we live in such a massive city, we need more than one location. I hope something is done to remedy this. This is not the 1st or second time nor 3rd time we have experienced disappointment at this location. We purchased our donuts and decided to check the montrose location to see if they had the same issue. I spoke to the employees (2) there and showed them the pictures, and they both said they have heard the complaints from customers regarding the height location. Their store was fully stocked and clean. So we might just have to start going there instead. Mind you, we drive from Tomball just for...
Read moreSo I have heard of this establishment but never tried em. I have seen them packed non stop Every time I go by. I finally went in at a less busy time to give em a try. They are 24 hours so grabbing some doughnuts after hitting the strip is the right ides. Thoughts on the place are below.
Location: they took over the building Sammy's Wild Game Grill used to be in. Location is good but parking can be a challenge. They do however have a drive through. You have to get to it from side of building entrance.
Presentation of establishment: place is well lit and clean. They use well labeled rotating displays with their doughnuts in them as menus. Also have print ones. Not over decorated and they sell merchandise in store.
Staff: friendly and helpful. They were quick efficient but didn't seemed rushed nor did they rush me. A+
Food: their doughnuts are really good. They have combinations of flavors you can't get anywhere else. They are fresh tasty and visually appealing. I enjoyed everyone I tried so far. They have 20 to 30 unique options.
Cost: doughnuts are 1 to 3 bucks each. Dozens are 13 to 20 bucks each. Cost is significantly higher than most doughnut shops but their unique offerings and flavors offset that concern to me.
Overall take away: clean, delicious, friendly, and overall great value for experience. I recommend...
Read moreToday, around 3:00PM, my wife, three kids, and I went to visit this location as first timers, and it was a complete disappointment in the lack of customer service.
As the five of us walked into an empty store, none of the three employees behind the counter provided any type of acknowledgement or greeting.
After a few minutes, my wife spoke up and asked, "This is our first time here, how does it work...?". A employee behind the counter replied, "One minute...", and continued her business.
A couple of minutes later, my wife asked me, "Are you ready to go?". I replied, "Let's go!".
We drove from Northwest Houston, about 20 miles, to try this place out, but due to the horrible service, we left.
If it weren't for the big sign outside that stated Voodoo Donuts, we'd have no idea of which donut shop we were at - there was not one single greeting!
Employees, you have to do better than this if you want to maintain business! Prices are going up in everything; not only do you have to make sure you have an excellent product, but your customer service MUST be just as good, if not better. The disappointing thing is, it wasnt just one employee, but all three employees who did not offer customer service.
Hope customer...
