I hosted my daughter’s birthday party here. We Loved the play area and the volleyball court and especially loved the fact that they were adjacent so it was easy to keep up with all of the kids. It was very spacious and even though it’s not fully covered, it wasn’t super hot. The fans and table tents really helped to keep it comfortable. The Atmosphere is 10/10! Great dj, very clean and inviting. My only two complaints were that there aren’t any waitresses which isn’t a huge deal for a regular table but when you’re hosting a party it’s a pain to have to constantly walk all the way inside the building for every little thing you need, ketchup, napkins etc. Not to mention the bar outside couldn’t give us soda for the kids because she said she didn’t have a soda gun and she also didn’t have all of the ingredients to make the drink special for the day so we had no choice but to utilize the bar inside. I think I walked back and forth at least 30 times… It was really inconvenient. My suggestion would be to provide parties with an optional party host and do automatic gratuity. Its a win win for both sides. I also wasn’t notified that the kitchen was bought out. I looked at the online menu and planned to purchase 10 pizzas. The new kitchen owners had a temporary menu which did not serve pizza, nor did they have a kids menu. It was $14 for 4 tenders and fries.. which is pricey when you’re serving 24 children. I reallllyyyyy wish I was told this information before hand. The food was good though. Ig was fresh and the staff from the kitchen were very pleasant. Overall, We enjoyed this place a lot. It was still a very fun party and we enjoyed visiting Wakefield CrowBar. We will certainly return...

First off—three full sand volleyball courts. Yes, three. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just out to have fun with friends, the courts are well-maintained, the crowd is always lively, and there’s often music or league play to keep the energy high. Pro tip: show up early to grab a court or check the schedule ahead of time.
Inside, the bar and restaurant offer a surprisingly solid menu. You’d expect typical bar fare, but they’ve clearly put thought into the food—everything from shareable apps to hearty meals that hit the spot after a game. The wings and the sliders are absolute musts.
Now, let’s talk drinks and service—because that’s where Kourtney comes in. Kourtney is hands-down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. She’s fast, remembers your order after one round, and somehow manages to keep the whole bar laughing while keeping things running smooth. Friendly, professional, and just the kind of person who makes you want to come back—she’s part of what makes this place feel like a community, not just a bar.
Whether you’re here for the volleyball, the drinks, or just to kick back on a patio with great people, Wakefield Crowbar delivers...
Read moreThis is our neighborhood bar. We love it and are probably there several times a month. They have renovated the bar area and it looks so much better. Some of the bartenders are better than others. Most of them are super friendly. There are two things of interest to note with this place - one it has outdoor volleyball courts. Which is actually entertaining to watch when you are sitting outside. There are either people playing that make you envious (and you don't want to wear a bikini or go shirtless next to some of them). These fit folks can often really play some volleyball. and then sometimes there are drunks out there playing. Either way, it is entertaining. The other thing to note about Crowbar is the food. You would not think in your neighborhood bar that you would find such good food. Some things are just OK but then there are some things that are Fricking fantastic. If you go, you have to try the Stew or the Spaghetti. There is something in their tomato sauce that you will crave. I often order the fried cheese. Not for the cheese but for the marinara. Also, they will occasionally host a fund-raiser for some Pet rescue group, etc. and it is usually a casino night. So much fun if you like gambling. At the end of the night whatever tokens you have you turn them into raffle tickets for prizes...bikes, TVs, booze, etc. We have actually won...
