Feedback on Our Experience I’d rate our overall experience at about 3.75 out of 5, mostly because I’m quite big on attention to detail. Here’s where I think there’s room for improvement: Last-Minute Stress Over Staffing A few days before our couple’s massage, I was called and told that two women massage therapists were unavailable. Since that was the only thing we were comfortable with, it was stressful to hear, but surprisingly, it was resolved within minutes while I was on hold. That sudden call and quick fix felt like unnecessary emotional stress that could have been avoided with better internal coordination. Name Misspelling on a Surprise My boyfriend’s name was misspelled in the reservation. Since it was a surprise for him, I had to call the morning of to correct it. Again, it’s a small detail, but it matters. Massage Discomfort The massage therapist I had didn’t seem very experienced. There were multiple moments during the massage that felt uncomfortable. Also, whatever was placed on my eyes—maybe a hot rag—kept sliding off and pulled out a lot of my lash extensions. It was more irritating than relaxing. On top of that, the room music was causing more anxiety than calm. I had to ask them to turn it down, which took away from the overall sense of relaxation. Overall Aesthetically, the space was beautiful. But as someone who notices small details, these hiccups took away from what could have been a seamless, restorative experience.

From the moment I walked into Tulum Wellness Spa, I knew I was in for a treat! ✨ The interior aesthetic is absolutely stunning. Calm, beautiful, and so thoughtfully designed that it instantly relaxes you. It truly represents the brand to a T. I started with the complimentary salt room (my first time ever!) and WOW such a rejuvenating experience. Not only did I feel refreshed, but I could literally feel the difference in my lungs and skin. Such a special touch that sets this spa apart! Next was my massage with Sandra, and I cannot rave about her enough. From the beginning, she took the time to ask thoughtful questions to tailor the session to my needs. The massage itself was an absolute 10/10, but what really stood out was how she shared knowledge about my body and muscles along the way. She even gave me simple post-massage care tips and body maintenance routines to keep me feeling my best in between visits. That extra care and attention made all the difference. Overall, my experience was excellent from start to finish. Between the atmosphere, the salt room, and Sandra’s expertise, I left feeling lighter, calmer, and cared for. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and yes, I’ll be signing up for a membership! If you’re looking for a spa that blends beautiful design, thoughtful wellness touches, and true professionalism, Tulum Wellness Spa is the place. 🌿💆‍♀️

Pretty facilities, but deceptive marketing. They were running a promotion in March that they sent in a mailer. The promise: 10% off first service if You sign up for loyalty rewards + free add-on if you book Tuesday - Thursday. You could also enjoy an infrared sauna or salt room. Everything sounded great so I booked during my spring break week. Mentioned that I was an educator and “oh great! We’ve got a discount for that too!” I got there and enjoyed my 90-minute massage. I’ve gotten better at Massage Heights for athletes, but it wasn’t the worst. Except I needed to book the sauna in advance and the masseur should’ve asked about my add-on— which he didn’t. My question: when I booked— and clearly because of all of the promises from the woman on the phone at 11a— why wasn’t all of this booked then ahead of my 4p appointment? After the massage I was assured that I could still take advantage of the add on and sauna at a later time without booking another massage. I asked that explicitly. I called this week to take advantage before the month ends and now I can’t get the hydrafacial as an add on. I’d have to pay for that then get an eye or lip treatment as the free add-on. In short, if it sounds too good to be true it likely is! Don’t fall for it. Should’ve known better with the “Tulum” name. Cheesy

I booked two 60-minute massages as birthday gifts for my mother and sister. Since they both have scoliosis, I researched a bit and called in advance (on 8/6/25) to make sure they would be in good hands. During that call, I also made it very clear that I would be paying, not my mother or sister, and I was told this would be noted in their booking. The front desk representative I spoke with at the time was extremely kind and recommended Chloe and Sandra, who both delivered outstanding massages. My family described them as truly excellent, 10/10.

That said, the front desk experience on 8/17/25 was disappointing. My family arrived a little early because of car trouble and the storm, not wanting to risk being late. While they were ultimately given a complimentary salt room to wait in, which I genuinely appreciated, the receptionist was noticeably curt and unwelcoming. After the massages, she also made an unnecessary remark, saying “well you still have to pay,” despite the fact that I had left a card on file, specified this was a gift, and even arranged for gratuities in advance. Not only did this come across as if my family was expected to walk out without paying, which was uncomfortable especially as two Latina women, but it also showed that the booking notes I specifically requested were ignored.

From what I have seen in other reviews, this kind of front desk miscommunication has happened before, so unfortunately this does not seem like an isolated incident. Chloe and Sandra were absolutely wonderful, and their professionalism made this experience worthwhile. I am considering returning, but I hope management ensures that staff interactions consistently match the quality of the...
