If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars, I would.
This is my first time TRYING to eat here and will surely be my last. To anyone reading, I would recommend you take your business to the other Wendy's off Westheimer or even off Dairy Ashford before this place. Granted I've never been to those Wendy's, but they CAN'T be as awful as this place.
This review is NOT about the food, because I never had the opportunity to place an order... Which is the problem.
I want to first acknowledge that this location closes at midnight. At 11:40pm, I approached the drive thru speaker to place my order. After waiting several minutes to be acknowledged as any other paying customer would, I decided to pull forward to just try placing my order at the window. Time is ticking, I know they will be closing soon, and I just wanted to place the order. When I turned around the corner to get to the window, I see a silver SUV already waiting at the window. After waiting behind it for a few minutes, I decided to carefully pull up next to it. When I asked the driver if she had placed an order yet, she reported that she had been waiting for 30 MINUTES in the drive thru to place her order, and even saw workers in the building. I only waited for 16 minutes (compared to her reported 30 minutes), but even 16 minutes without so much as a word spoken to me from a Wendy's worker IS RIDICULOUS. To know that they were hiding out to run down the clock so they can close without serving at least the 4 of us was terribly unprofessional, inconsiderate, rude, and just horrible in general! The reason I say "4 of us" is because there was 1 vehicle in front of me and 1 behind me that waited and ultimately pulled off. I left at 11:56pm...
Read moreBEWARE when ordering more items than just a combo. They will intentionally ring up the items in a certain order to make it more expensive. This isn't the first time something like this has happened at this location, but it is starting to become a pattern.
For example - I ordered the new Wednesday-themed "Meal of Misfortune", which comes with 10 nuggets, 2 mystery dipping sauces, a side of french fries, and a special themed Frosty as the beverage. I then asked to ADD ON a Soda. Instead of adding on the soda as a separate, extra item. At first, they rang it up as requested. But then, I watched the drive-thru order screen flicker and update as the cashier went back and 'subbed' the Frosty from the combo for a Soda, and then rang up the Frosty as a totally separate item. This caused the total to be a little bit higher than if the soda was added on separately.
Even if the difference in cost isn't very noticeable unless you actually look at the receipt, it still adds up considerably for every other customer that visits.
**Lastly, the amount of effort it would take to go back and substitute the item, instead of going with the flow and adding on the soda in the order it was requested - it just doesn't make sense unless they are being directed to do this. If that is the case, it is not a very good look OR a very good...
Read moreI usually order through the app because the employees state that the rewards scanner does not work. Ordering through the app ensures that I will get my rewards points. I sat in the dine in and ordered through the app. They were busy with drive through so I assumed they were gathering my order. Next thing I know they were just standing there so I asked is my dine in order ready. The guy stated he didn't know and I showed him the app with my receipt. The manager began to say the order was already picked up. I said how when I order it and paid for it as soon as I got in the lobby? I been waiting for 20 mins. She began to say well idk what you want me to do. I say just give me a refund instead of arguing. She stated Wendy's does not give refund through mobile. I asked her to show me how and she refused after while she began ignoring me. I asked either give me a refund or give me my order. She just stared at me and acted like she didn't understand anything I was saying. So I asked for corporate or her managers number and she proceeds to say I am the manager with a smile. They all ignored me. I will never come back here. If I do not get a refund ON MY CARD I will get a lawyer. I asked them to refund and they proceed to laugh at me like I'm a joke.
