NOSH RESTAURANT & LOUNGE — Restaurant in Houston

So I’d rate this establishment a 2(and I’m being gracious bc the atmosphere is cute). For starters, I made reservations for my birthday, reserving 2 sections. They advertise free bottle show(never happened), free bday cake(which shows a whole cake(I received a slice after my cousin said something which was the fastest thing we received the entire night, and happy hour is advertised from 6-8(which the waiter was unaware of. Now the reservations were for 7pm. When I arrived there was a table of 4 already seated, another birthday celebration going on and another table that was finishing up so the place was not crowded at all. This is a byob establishment. The waiter did not greet us until 7:45 and that’s because we flagged him down for cups!!!! A table full of liquor and no cups is crazy. 25 min later we are brought 5 dirty ass cups for a party of 18 guests. When I asked could we get new cups or some paper or plastic cups, I was told they aren’t allowed to give them out which to be clear the other cups were plastic as well but I wanted the ones that you can buy from dollar store(disposable). We honestly should have left them but we prayed over the cups and prayed that alcohol would kill the rest. Next, we were asked if we wanted drinks(mock tails, juice etc).. We ordered drinks,appetizers and our food and would you believe NO ONE was served anything to drink until after 9:30pm!!!!! Some of the food (the ones that got it) came out BEFORE the drinks!!! Kids were eating and complaining they were thirsty so we were sent 4-5 bottles of water. Nevertheless, food didn’t start coming out until after 9pm, and 3 of my guest NEVER even got their food and another 3 never got to order!!! 1 out of my 3 spinach dips came, and the other 2 never made it to the table. The last 2 that received their food had to take it to go and that was after 10pm. Children are not allowed after 10 which is fine but sucks when they have 15 only to eat!!!! Aside from that the ONLY thing that came out hot was the salmon, EVERYTHING ELSE was luke warm(at best). Then the waitress (we will call her rainbow bright) kept coming to the table to ask if we were ok and needed anything only to finish off saying that she isn’t our server, and how they don’t want her serving us??? Ummm ok so why are you here then bc your taking orders so I’m confused. Then several of my guests advised me that she kept rolling her eyes and getting smart with them AFTER I went outside to get air. I needed to calm myself down because clearly my birthday celebration was ruined!!!! At least 6 of my guests left my birthday dinner having to find somewhere else to eat!!! Horrible experience!!!! I’m ONLY giving it 2 stars bc of the venue (although the pictures on website are kind of accurate, there are no pretty glass settings or silverware on the tables… they are bare). Ooooohhh and for those that received their food, they were given plasticware (in wrapper) to eat with!!!!! I will include pics of the dirty cups we were given. The food received no pictures were taken bc people were starving!!! Lamp chops were pretty good but cold. They took them back and microwaved or something bc the same cut one on my nephew plate came back too. So they will not make you fresh food if your food comes out cold…..Anyway so much more I could say but I’m drained. Whoever is doing the positive reviews must be family bc ain’t no way no one has called them out!!! Ohhhh and mashed potatoes are from the box so do what you...

I have to say the vibe is cool the dj do his thing but last night really piss me off first and foremost the owner out of line I'm trying to understand how it takes over an hour for my food to come out and I been in this spot going on 2 hrs when his PEOPLE came in according to the bottle girls who gets food before me and my table becarful how you treat people that's spending money I won't be back it's toooo many spots like this in Houston these African don't care about nobody but themselves, you have a guy walking about blowing the fire off the coals like it's not people dancing and eating bad business i seen and watched how the owner walking about but not checking on the people spending money he was toooo busy checking only on his people I do not recommend and then it's not many people in the spot food over price and not really good...

I went to this facility to attend a fragrance pop-up event. This particular establishment is located in a shopping strip so it was hard to find on the main street. I had to detour a couple of times just to locate this particular facility so it is hard to find. The acoustics in the inside of this establishment are pronounced. It was very difficult when there were guests who attended this event and were talking to people and people were not able to hear them effectively. The atmosphere of the seating arrangements was absolutely beautiful. It has a high-class feel. This gives a feel of a young couple or even middle-aged couple going out to an establishment like this. The seating arrangements were plenty however it felt more of a family communal in some of the seating arrangements...
