Whales Wings & Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

Decided to finally try the place. I bought three plates: Catfish Sandwich (w/Fries), Catfish Nuggets (w/Okra), and Shrimp Basket (w/Cole Slaw & Okra).

I love that they clearly announce that there are both Swai Catfish and Real Catfish options as well as several other types of fish such as Snapper & Grouper). I will defintely be having more of their menu.

I was very impressed with the cashier's personality and professionalism. Very clear communication and friendly, but not familiar, tonality. The gentleman cooking even spoke.

The food was very well prepared. On the Catfish Sandwich, I would suggest when it's to-go, they put the vegetables on the side (or that the customer suggests they be kept on the side so they don't wilt or get hot). I came home and added onion and mayo, but that's just my desire for dressing. I probably should have asked for it there, but didn't.

I know they don't have to cater to any additional food preferences, but it would be nice to offer a meatless burger party option, too.

The dining area was clean and fresh-smelling. The counter was neat and orderly.

Service was fast and everything was HOT! HOT! HOT! still when I got home. I meant to take pictures, but was too eager to eat the burger, instead. It was delicious! Fish was fried to perfection: not to soft, not too hard, golden, and nothing was too or...

I’m only giving one star so that I can give a review, if you love your health and don’t want to seem crazy for loving your health don’t come to this establishment. The manager is just as young and dumb as the employees he got around there biting nails and leaving it in your food. My food was all over my plate as if someone was mad while they were fixing plates. My wings tasted spoil as if they were left in the sink or heat. (Very much so inedible) My gizzards had no meat only grease and breading. My fries were not fries they were bites of fries because I not once seen a whole French fry in my box. I ordered two orders of wings and one set of wings were party wings (toddler wings if you ask me) and the other half were whole wings which I found ver confusing being as I ordered the same things. The drive thru cashier had a very smart mouth and a problem with staying off of her phone until she’s done interacting with customers. Maybe that’s why she got my order wrong twice. Okay me and my husband come here quite often and always order the same thing. Fried Shrimp and I get Mac and cheese bites instead of fries because the fries could be cooked alittle longer. They are alittle too soggy for my liking. I order the Mac and cheese bites. Comes with a side of coleslaw and plenty of sauces for dipping. Cocktail, hot sauce and some type of sauce that could be mayo and ketchup. Food is always hot and fresh when we receive it and the wait isn’t long at all. I ordered inside and waited in my vehicle and the employee brought my food out to me. Wasn’t expecting that but I was thankful. The area is alittle sketchy.
