When your favorite restaurant let's you down!!
After visiting this location for about 20 years, just about once a week today I had the worst experience.
My horrible experience is all related to one of the managers, Shelly. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, she has to be one of the worst managers I have ran into.
She walked into the dinning room shouting make and model of my car. My entire table of 12 thought my car has been crashed or broken into. Nope. She informed me that I parked in a to go Parking spot.
I'm all for to-go Parking spots and would never take up one on purpose. However this spot has no sign so I was unaware.
She insisted that I move my car immediately. The restaurant was literally empty and had no other cars in the actual to-go Parking spots that did have a sign.
I asked if I could move it after I finish my just delivered wings and she replied, no because after you eat you will leave. We had a large table because being our favorite restaurant decided to have a family reunion here.
Shelly literally ruined our lunch over a parking spot that was not even needed. We were left confused, embarrassed, angry. She didn't seem to care at all that she single-handedly disrupted a family reunion.
The rest of the staff here is amazing. Literally, they have seen my children grow up and we know each other in a first name bases but my lord Shelly has no business in the customer...
Read moreSo this was my first time trying this place me and my friend have been driving by and always looking at it and wondering what it was like I now say without a shadow of doubt we should have kept driving because now that we've actually tried it I can say it is overpriced and under delivering The service seem to be interested and trying to get through the day I can understand this being in the food industry myself but at the same time you need to be able to come to work with a smile on your face and the attitude that comes with it The atmosphere is its own problem Like that of a ghost town and the food itself as I stated before is overpriced and then delivers this fries were unsalted needing a lot of ketchup to get through and the tenders with the gold fever or just playing honey mustard there was no sweetness there was no flavor just mustered and I myself when I hear sweet I am hoping for sweet that was nothing but mustard I feel bad for my friend he tried the spicy barbecue and it tasted like good old school barbecue sauce and I mean actual school so sadly I do wish we hadn't tried this place but I'm glad we did just so we know not to try it again we'll stick with pluckers Wingstop and any other chicken restaurant that's in the...
Read moreBest Wings in Houston! Great Manager. Good service. Plentiful sauce and efficient time. I’ve been a fan of wings and things ever since back in the 2000s with the location on S main. Once that closed I switched over to the FountainView/Westheimer where I happily ate there for years. Unfortunately that location also closed as well. Imagine to my surprise when I went to the 290 location and I saw the same manager working there from the old Fountain View location. He’s a great guy. Hard working and always on the floor checking out the situation. I remember him outside reserving the parking spots at the crowded westheimer location. Some of the old staff also switched there as well. No complaints about this Wings-N-Things. Way better than the Sugarland Location and absolutely better than Wingstop with their dry cold wings.
I’ve never had an issue with my wings here. They give enough sauce on the wings so you don’t feel cheated. The flavors are great, and they always bring them out to you quick and fast.
Too bad I live closer to the older closed locations otherwise I’d be here every weekend other than once a month.
10/10 if you’re looking for good wings. Give...
