Gilligan's — Restaurant in Howard

My husband's boss gives us gifts cards at the Christmas party for places they plow, so we tried it out..... .Food awesome!! Thank you Troy Gerrits for the awesome burgers!!!!! I had to wait 10 min to get served with 7 ppl besides us to get served..so 9 total in the bar. My glass got grabbed off bar and wasn't asked for another refill until 5-7 min later when my husband asked for a refill.... We then got out food and no ranch which we asked for and she wrote on her waitress pad and charged us for on the bill...had to ASK THE COOK for it after another period of time. One bartender whom bought my 2nd drink I wasn't offered I gave her $10 because eventually I got service for the short hair burnette made me feel like a customer. My original waitress finally came back after I held money in the air. I was like " did I do something to deserve this type of service?" My husband has now decided that instead of that gift card, if we get one next year, is in our envelope..we just want cash.. I do what they do so I have plenty of patience.. but they just ignored me. The good: The food is great! Even if you don't drink, definitely stop in for a burger or wings. There are daily food specials, so check out their social media for updates. They also have some great local bands come through and do party buses for a variety of events/sports games. Free Bingo every Tuesday night!

The bad: If you're looking for a big beer selection, or craft cocktails, definitely steer clear. This is a classic Wisconsin Tavern. A few Wisco beers on tap, but mostly just domestics. A full bar offers options for shots and mixed drinks but nothing outstanding.

The ugly: The wait for food can take upwards of 45 minutes depending on how busy it is. They only have a small kitchen, so either get there early, or call in...

The atmosphere here is inviting, the place is always clean, and the bartenders are great, and the food is top notch, I got the Gilligan burger, with pepper jack cheese, the burger is enormous, but man is it down right delicious, my girlfriend got the BLT wrap, and she ate the entire thing, she said it was amazing, this place deserves five stars for sure, there back patio along duck creek is just gorgeous, u can eat out there or just have a drink, and sit down and relax...give this place a try, u will not be...
