Located in the old Julie’s Cafe and Catering building, is one of Green Bay’s newest Mexican restaurants, La Cascada.
Lime Margarita on the Rocks: It was good. It comes across more as lemonade. It was still refreshing, and we would have it again - 4
Chips and salsa: The chips were served warm. They had to of been fried in old oil, because they taste and smelled like burned oil. The chips did not have any salt on them. The salsa was really good. It has a slight heat that goes away pretty quickly - 3.5
Only the kiddo ordered tacos today.
Chicken Taco: Flavor: 2 Fullness: 5 Appearance: 5
It wasn’t flavorful but very juicy. It was good, but could have been better. ($4.00 per taco)
The Choripollo ($18.00) was great. The chicken breasts were thin, very tender and moist. The chorizo was good but a tad too oily. The white queso is just white queso and doesn’t have any chiles in it.
The Jalisco Fajitas ($21.00) are chicken, steak and shrimp. There was a sweeter tomato based sauce on the shrimp which was unique. The meat was all cooked very well. Everything, besides the shrimp, could have used a little more seasonings.
Portion sizes here are pretty decent and the prices were pretty good.
Our server was very nice and our food came out quick.

Read moreMy husband and I went to see what this place was like there were cars in the parking lot. One couple walked in before us and was seated. Then there were two of the servers talking and didnt turn around to see if anyone was there waiting to be seated. If it wasnt for the server pushing the cart for fresh Guac I think we wouldve been waiting longer. The server that took us back seemed very rude and uninviting like he didnt want to be there. This sever also didnt come check on us while we ate and took forever to ask what we wanted to drink. There was only four other tables filled if that. The plates are hot and the food is warm/cold but food had good flavor. The server for the Guac cart was very nice even though we said no thank you. Im sorry to say but my husband and I will not be going there again theres better places around with nicer servers and better food...
Read moreStopped by here at 8:35pm Friday night. Google says they are open until 9pm and their sign in the parking lot says they are open until 10pm. When I arrived, I was the only car in the parking lot and waited until my husband arrived at 8:40 to walk in. While I was waiting I did not see a single person inside. Once we walked in, there were no customers and no staff. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated. We waited. And waited. We heard music and people joking around in the kitchen, but no one came to greet us or bring us to a table. We decided (after about 10 minutes of standing by their host stand) that they must not really care to have our business if there was no one around to serve us. We left without eating. Maybe we will try...
