I’m from Wisconsin and now live out of state. I had placed an order online with the Flower Company for a very sensitive and special flower delivery on Sunday. Shortly after placing my order, I received a phone call from Douglas . He explained that he didn’t have the flowers on hand (they had been very busy and had run out of the tulips) that I had ordered. But that he could get them for delivery on Monday and would that would be ok? I then explained that it had to be Sunday. Because, this is for a dear friend who recently lost his wife. And that Sundays had been “their day”. So this was when he missed her the most. Therefore, a Monday delivery was missing the reason I was sending them. I then asked him to read the card was sending. This would reveal why it was those flowers, and those colors that I needed for the arrangement. (I was overcome by emotion and he very empathetic.) He then said, he completely understood and asked me to hold. He came back on the line to inform me that he had called his other shop. They had the flowers, and in the colors I had wanted. He said, I’m sending my driver over now to pick up the flowers and that they would be delivered today (Sunday!). I was so grateful. Later that day I was still feeling anxious about the delivery and called back to ask Douglas if all gone well? (as I wasn’t sure my friend would be home at the time of delivery and wanted to make sure they could still be left at my friend’s home). Douglas said, the flowers were fresh and the arrangement turned out beautiful. And it was now in route and should be delivered at any moment. He then said, but let’s find out the details for you. And again asked, if would stay on the line. As I waited I could hear him calling his driver. He came back on the line and said great news! They were just delivered and your friend was home to personally receive the delivery!!! I again was overwhelmed with emotion. Read moreWent in today with my two little kids to pick out a special Valentine's arrangement for my wife / mommy. Had looked at the website ahead of time and was able to determine equal value to the internet websites except here you can actually see what your getting. I met and worked with the owner Doug. He was about to leave for a delivery and decided to stay to assist me. I inquired about a tropical arrangement as that had sentimentally been something my wife and I shared from our time in the service. He had some great ideas and provided a quote and as expected ended up being more than I could afford. I then stated she like purple so pointed out a few on his website and he offers suggestions. We came to one that had some tropical flare but not completely tropical in my budget and he was shocked by the advertised price and stated how those need to be updated. He also did not have the correct base/holder in stock so suggested alternatives or he could special order mine. He did not skip a beat and was going to honor the price and holder if needed. I said it is fine to substitute out and I just liked this particular one bc it has some Hawaiian feel to it. At this point things changed! He said you know what I am going to just order the tropical flowers and plants for you and make you what you want for the same price knowing he would not be making as much money on it. He basically called it a military discount but nonetheless shows that he cares and wanted to make this day special. He did not have to do any of this. He went above and beyond my expectations and I'm sure he will for you as well! Very rarely do you see this kind of leadership and customer service in today's society. Highly highly recommend. So fellas if you can't afford to to take your special someone to the tropics for Valentine's day your in luck bc Doug was inspired by my idea and will be ordering extra to make for valentines day. Read moreI do not often write reviews, however, I believe when a company, agency, organization, or whatever type of business I am receiving services from does an exceptional job, I believe that deserves recognition and I believe that Flower Co. deserves such recognition. I am a Clinical Therapist and I live in Los Angeles yet my mother lives in Wisconsin, so I could not quite walk flowers over to her. I was in need of flowers to send to my mother and I was a bit panicked about getting them to her in time for Mother’s Day. I spoke with Doug and he assisted me in soothing my state of panic. He informed me that he understood what I was going through and assured me that he could help me. I felt instant relief because he spoke to me as if I were more than a customer and that he had genuine concern. I very much appreciated his time and patience with me. Today, on Mother’s Day, my mother was completely surprised and very pleased with what the Flower Co. put together for her. In the words of my mother, “This is sooo beautiful. I love it and the freshness of the flowers has my home smelling so wonderful.” That is EXACTLY the response I had hoped for from my mom.
