Captain D's — Restaurant in Huber Heights

I hadn’t been to a Captain D’s in well over 5 years - pre COVID. I had a taste for the fried fish, so I drove 20 minutes to the location in Huber/Fairborne. We got there before 9. They already had the mop bucket out which reeked. There were only a few customers there. We ordered dine-in. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food, and when it arrived it came in styrofoam to-go boxes. No self serve condiment stations with tartar sauce, no drink machine. There was this hoodlum teenager slinking around the restaurant looking out the window and talking loudly on his phone. When he joined up with his buddy who worked in the back, the atmosphere turned from quiet to obnoxious clamor.

I will never set foot in a CapD’s again after this. It is so sad to see these older chains that have been around for decades turn to crap after COVID. They’ve just quit trying to be excellent, but oh, do they still ask top dollar for their product… Nope, not...

Went there like a hour ago today (10/14/24 around 7:30pm).. Waited in line 20 minutes for 1 car ahead of me. Then when I got my food the female (white, dark brown hair, piercings think) worker said everything was in there. Asked for tartar sauce gave me zero. Went back around the line after I noticed no sauce. Waited another 10 minutes to get tartar sauce before I gave up and went inside. I didn’t want to go inside because I was wearing my house slippers. Gave up, went inside, the girl gave me tartar sauce (I was super nice) then as I was walking out loudly told her coworkers I waited 30 minutes in line for tartar sauce like I was stupid or crazy. It was highly unprofessional to talk crap about the customer. My husband and I won’t be going back because the workers are awful. If I were the manager I’d do some rehiring. Imagine ruining my night then shaming me for waiting for something you forgot. Too bad because the food...

My experience at Captain D’s was horrible. I have been going to Captain D’s for several years and this time this week I went and it was horrible. There was this woman at the front named Stacy and I ordered a meal my usual meal and she was rude and disrespectful and the customer service was unacceptable. I will never go back to Captain D’s ever again just because of her I asked to talk to the manager, and she said no, she lied to me and said that she was the manager. I will not be going back there until she is not there any longer she cussed at me and the food that she made was disgusting. Everybody else was fine except for her in the three years that I’ve been going to Captain D’s I have never been treated so horribly. She had an attitude.
