Big Burger — Restaurant in Hudson Oaks

Been here several times now. Very good experiences so far. Keep it up ! Ordered the cheesesteak on the last visit. Meh. I'll stick to the fantastic burgers here on out. My cheesesteak was ok. But ended up being kinda sogged, and flat (like squished) i think it was due to the bread seemingly being very very fresh, and couldn't handle the heat or shaved meat juices. Dunno, sticking with the burgers which have been un-beatable. Big Burger offers several varieties of burgers to include a spicy jalapeño burger, chili cheese burger, mushroom burger avacodo burger and the infamous mystery non-meat burger. Any of the selections can be requested with a different bun, flatbread, or no bun at all. They also offer an option to prepare yours in salad mode. French fries are pretty standard here. Although, you can add melty cheese and or chili to em. Atmosphere is spot on with some clever signage abound. Chairs are basic metal with metal backs. (Lasting for the long haul) Drinks are pretty standard with lemonade and both iced tea's. (Sweet & un-sweet) and soda choices. No Pepsi here! (All good. Give Big Burger a shot. Three stars is the best I could do. My experience was middle of the road. The ingredients were fresh as advertised except the obviously frozen, both, regular and sweet potato fries. My buddy and I both felt like the ratio of patty to the rest of the burger was a little on the light side and lacked flavor. I wouldn't normally be so hard on a burger joint but I paid almost $20 for a burger, sweet potato fries, and a drink and was given nothing to wow me. Sorry Big Burger but it's obvious corners are being cut and the prices are not. All that being said the girl working the counter was very nice and picked up the slack her kitchen staff gave her by correcting the mistake they made by not making the, overly priced, sweet potato fries I ordered. There was nothing in my experience here to brag about to other people which you need if you expect a burger place to succeed. P.S. The money you saved on these cheap chairs is not worth the comfortability of your guests. I had no desire to spend any extra time in your restaurant than I had to nor do I want to return. Most amazing burgers!! Fresh lettuce,pickles, tomatoes, chopped red onions.. and the taste of the grilled meat is so yummy! The fries are great too! The root beer they have is also great! I dont know where to buy it. We also went on lunch at noon, missed the incoming crowd by 5 minutes.. all of a sudden 30 people were in line out the door! The little girl behind the counter didnt miss a beat thou! The staff was rolling also .. it was amazing to see that crowd ordered and in their seats within 5 minutes . The girl also told everyone to have a great day and never lost her composure!! The dining area is great.. clean and they just need a bigger place!! This place is bumping!!
