UPDATED REVIEW: 2nd visit for dinner, thanks to manager Mike, was far better than previous experience. We ordered the same dishes again & added the Kale Caesar salad. 2 Fish tacos added a side to fill out plate. Zucchini appetizer was 100% better; a plateful of beautifully arranged zucchini rounds, lightly battered & flash fried. No longer the long slices swimming in oil! We changed to Farmers Market flatbread, which was loaded with vegetables. My only criticism would be everything but zucchini was a little heavy on grated parmesan cheese throughout. Salad too, would have been improved with fresh shavings of cheese instead of heavy dose of grated, but it was delicious take on the standard Caesar salad. Mixed drinks small but very good. All things considered, we were pleased by improvements to food! Worth a try but be prepared for pricey dinner. FIRST VISIT REVIEW: Bring your wallets!! Food, with Mexican flair, pretty tasty but too high priced for such small proportions. For example, a fish taco is served on small taco shell & topped with well cooked, but small, fish filet & about 1/2 cup toppings..$12.50 Pretty looking dish, but we weren't paying for the artistry of the food. Mexican corn flatbread, also tasty, but from description on menu, we expected flatbread to be piled high..you could count the sparse ingredients scattered on top. We also asked to add avocado...not a speck of it! My husband's a big eater so we ordered 4 fish tacos, Mexican corn flatbread, an appetizer of something with huge corn chips, a chili con carne like substance, queso & oddly, little chunks of pineapple on the bottom. Also a zucchini appetizer which was maybe 1/2 a small zucchini sliced paper thin & fried (too much oil) & served with a creamy dip which had jalapeños in it; there was more dip than zucchini! I had a margarita, which was delicious & my husband had a mock cocktail, also overpriced. Dinner tab was well over $100.00. Prices on menu a little hard to decipher so the tab was kind of a shock. Food servings were skimpy & way overpriced for quantity. Dining room with bar very noisy, but adjacent dining area with booths much quieter & seating comfortable. All that being said, we wont go there again. Too expensive unless you're not hungry & would be satisfied...

I had the pleasure of dining here recently and let me tell you, huge, huge difference. I was sat quickly by a friendly hostess, without incident, in the wonderful server Samantha's section. She was attentive, accommodating, and most importantly, she was nice! Sounds trivial, but it goes such a long way. I want to commend the restaurant for having a creative kids menu (love the Hudson touches) with a plethora of choices for little ones. I also want to add that the whole team was working together and helping one another out, and it did not go unnoticed. Great Job Rail Trail! Thank you for going the extra mile!
(05/2017): 3-stars: It pains me to give this rating. Like, deeply pains me. I want to start by saying that I love the food here. Love it! The items are always fresh and delicious. The customer service, however, sucks. I am not sure who is in charge of training the front of house staff, but they are always difficult to deal with. They do not share the philosophy that the customer experience should be top-notch every time. The hostess staff has sullied my last 4 experiences here, both sit down service and take out. They are curt, unhelpful, and not willing to make things right when they foul up. It is such a shame as the product put out here is so unique and sought after. I truly hope that this review is taken seriously by management as there is so much potential to improve the customer experience. I would love to be able to change this review after being wowed. Let's hope that...
Read moreIn the unassuming town of Hudson, Massachusetts, there lurks a culinary marvel, the Rail Trail Flatbread Co., a gem that dares to weave together the quaint charm of the town's old rail-trails with the vibrant pulse of contemporary cuisine. I stepped into the establishment with a dubious heart, having been battered by countless mediocre flatbreads and underwhelming craft beers. But here, in the heart of Hudson, I found myself marvellously mistaken.
The Rails have ingeniously revamped the notion of 'vegan'. Here, the term does not merely refer to a dietary choice, but rather a thrilling exploration into uncharted gustatory territories. Their vegan options are a bold and generous revolution, a salute to those who believe in pleasure without compromise. The textures, the flavours, the sheer creativity, all echo the same manifesto: a plant-based diet need not be penance.
One cannot overlook the formidable list of craft beers. The selection available, akin to a well-crafted symphony, moves from the lightest of lagers to the deepest of stouts, with each bottle bearing a story that enlivens the palate. They do not merely serve you a beer; they serve you an adventure in a glass.
My visit to Rail Trail Flatbread Co. was not a meal; it was a rich, textured tapestry of sensory experiences. With a dedicated and passionate staff as their backbone, the restaurant has effectively blurred the lines between gastronomy and artistry. If you should find yourself in Hudson, it would be nothing short of a crime to not visit this eatery. Rail Trail Flatbread Co., I salute you. To all discerning palates, prepare for a...
