Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Hueytown

On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, after 7:30 pm; I went to Church’s Chicken on 94 Allison Bonnet Memorial Run. I passed it earlier because I had an appointment I needed to go to. But, I saw the sign about the Fire Smoke House Combo and to my surprise when I came back and I got in line at the Drive-Thru they asked me to try it and I said Yes and Thank you. I tell you it’s at a good price, and you get a nice half size fire smoke chicken and Believe you me even the skin was crispy and good. I only ate some and put the rest in the refrigerator.

Next, he asked if I wanted to change my side and make my drink a large. I only substituted my mash potatoes and gravy for corn on the cob and yes it was good too. (Could have used more butter). However, my Drink wasn’t flat and that’s definitely a PLUS, A HUGE PLUS! ( Always take a couple of sips of your drink to make sure it’s good) I also ordered the Lemonade box pie with a graham cracker crust and it was very good too. My honey biscuit was fresh, soft and very tasty.

I didn’t have to wait a long time either even though there we’re already about 5 to 6 cars ahead of me. Next, when I moved from the window, I found my pie was missing and I had to get out of my car and knocked on the door and they immediately brought me my pie.

Therefore, I dropped them to 4 🤩🤩 stars instead of 5. But even though that happened. I definitely will go back and get the same thing again. I’m expecting amazing and delicious fresh food again, and good customer service too. I definitely recommend you go there and try out the Fire Smokehouse Chicken Combo. If you love and want something different in chicken then get the Fire Smokehouse. I have enclosed the pictures so you can see for yourself. Look how large is it, and my corn on the cob too. Update: 11/02/23 at 5:22 after another bad service called and spoke to the manager. Explained to her items are always missing out of the bag and when I ask for my food a certain way such as 2 thighs, they are not fixing it to my request. Her resolution is I need to check my food before I leave. I told her that her crew needs to fix the order as requested at the speaker. She said the only resolution is for me to check my food at the window. Requested a call from a higher manager or owner.

The food is usually good. The problem is with the cashiers. Always check your bag because most times something is missing. If you ask for your drink a certain way, they still fix it how they want you to have it. I had an issue with one of the female cashiers a few weeks ago. She had to ask for help on how to put the coupon code in. I heard the whole conversation and never once did the manager say I needed to print it, but she had an attitude and told me I can’t give the code from the website any more I have to print it. Either way you have to enter the code because there’s no barcode on the coupons. So I called to the store and the manager said I don’t have to print the coupon. I visit here frequently but each...

Absolutely one of the slowest fast food drive through I have ever had. Pulled up to the speaker drive thru no one even replied for at least 10 minutes. One car ahead of me I went ahead and pulled up.. Sat there and waited 26 minutes only to pull up after they service the car in front of me for them to tell me they would not honor my coupon because it wasn't from Church's Chicken. I had a coupon from Groupon for 20 piece leg and thigh for $15.99. Although the person at the register seem to be very nice they never even acknowledge the fact I was in line with one car in front of me at the window for well over 30 minutes...To be honest they could have went ahead and gave me that order just out of courtesy (at that price)for sitting there with no explanation as to why it took so long. I left without making any purchase and noticed the line at the drive-thru was 11 cars long stretching out into the highway. I imagine they were trying their best but their customer service need...
