California Underground Tacos & Bar — Restaurant in Hull

I came into this restaurant a place I’ve been in many times. The only reason why I came in last night was because I saw one of my friends house and karaoke while in this please I told my friend I said I want to do a post online to let people know that you are now doing karaoke since he just told me he started today while I was preparing to film the owner of the place who was also filming, walks up to me and tells me I cannot film in that building, and that I need to delete all information now I know this woman lives in this town. She knows about my reputation that has been tarnished destroyed. I’ve been discriminated against multiple times, so to see this woman discriminating against me making sure that I can’t do anything absolutely shocked me and then she stood there and tried to make me delete what I had not even started yet. I did not want to make a scene so I stayed there in support of my friend as I watch this woman snatch her daughter up , after sending her messages telling her that I was taking pictures of her which further shock to me because then she takes the girl in the bag to hide her away is what seems to be publicly humiliating me in front of everybody in the bar. this is the type of stuff that I deal with while living in this town with big owners like this this is why the suicide rate is high. This is why people fall into depression by dealing with people like this I want to thank you, but I will be suing you, because this caused me a lot of distress, and now I have trust issues with going into businesses for fear that somebody like you will tell me to not even talk to somebody . This place is not healthy for anybody to come into especially with people like this being added...

I have been a fan of this place for awhile now, overpriced for the portions but the food is always good, which the only reason I am not giving them a 1. However, my most recent time going I arrived a little earlier than my pickup time so it wasn’t ready but one of the ladies working there (i wish i had gotten her name because i have never had an experience like this with any other employee there) gave me the most passive aggressive comment after I had apologized and told her I would come back. When I came back later she asked for my ID since I ordered two drinks I gave her my license where she proceeded to question it. After bending it every which way she told me my picture looked fake. She asked for another form of ID but that was all I had on me so I went through my camera roll to find a picture of my passport or covid card. I quickly found my covid card and even still she was hesitant even though the birth date on the card matched my license. At this point I didn’t know what to tell her I had a real Massachusetts ID and a real covid card but she was still insanely rude to me. Since the second time I walked in the restaurant she was staring me down like I had done something wrong and made me feel very unwelcome. Upsetting because this is truly a place I loved to go to and would recommend about to my friends but I will now be hesitant to visit again because I don’t want to deal with her horrible customer...

I’m not sure why this place has such a high rating because it seems entirely undeserved. We ordered chips and guacamole, 4 tacos, and 2 drinks and our bill with tip was $80 at the end of the night.

The guacamole tasted like it was bought from Cisco and squeezed from a bag and it was a minuscule amount for the $7 they asked.

The drinks were either super artificial tasting or tasted like straight tequila and neither were particularly enjoyable.

The tacos took longer than 45 minutes to get to us and they were cold when we got them. I’m not sure if they only have one person in the kitchen or what, but it took entirely too long for us to get something with such basic ingredients.

This place also likes to sneakily charge you for things and not disclose it. We asked for the spicy tequila and they charged us $1 extra for it and didn’t let us know (even though we just asked for watermelon/strawberry instead of mango). They also charged us $1 for each “sauce” over the one you’re allowed to get and nowhere was this disclosed either.

All in all, a terrible experience. We’re glad we weren’t in a rush but we will not be returning here. For $80 we could have eaten at a far better...
