This place is often thought of as a bar. It does have a bar but there is a full restaurant and a banquet room for large party's. I will start out with the bar. It's a long wrap around bar that has ample seating with low light, intimate seating and booths around. The drinks are skillfully crafted and original. The drinks are made using unique ingredients from scratch with the best tequilla, gin, scotch, whiskey, rum or whatever is your favorite. The chef/owner is usually there and is very friendly and knowledgeable on any questions you might have alcohol and food related. Now for the food part. So the owner is a CHEF/owner, Not a bartender/owner. That being said, the food is amazing. It's one of the few restaurants around cooking with technique rather than a pre made, heat it up and throw it out there as fast as you can place. The food might take a few extra mins compared to let's say hq gastropub but people can wait for delicious food. When i went there I didn't wait long at all. I had the Delicate yet hearty red wine braised short rib and it was delicious. I wanted to lick the plate! My wife had the king salmon which she said was cooked perfectly and the beans were to die for. It was a great first experience for me and my wife and I will be coming back again. Definitely worth trying...
Read moreI have friends that come here regularly, so I had to give this place a try. I have been here before but years ago so I was not quite familiar with The Corner. Upon walking it, it's stale as can be. Bland colors, no warmth about the place. We took a sit in the bar area that lacked even more luster, if that was possible. I ordered a margarita off their specialty menu, while my date ordered a salty dog with gin. Both were incredibly strong and very sour tasting. I was one and done, while my date ordered a tap beer instead. When the food came out, I was expecting more gastro pub type of food yet got more of a sports bar feel type of food. Bill was $85 for 3 drinks and 3 dishes, which is fair for a night out. However, after this experience and a rough night of sleeping with the heaviness of the food, I will not be spending my money here again. There are way too many places out there that will wow me and this place failed...
Read moreWe came here with friends and we're so happy that we did😃 The food was beautiful and delicious; meals ordered were tuna tartare tostadas, Korean barbeque chicken and the 7oz.burger. We also had the 48hr. fries as an appetizer. Forgot to mention the heirloom tomato salad. We also wrapped up with butter cake😋😋 The flavors of the salad and the tostadas were exceptional! Very inventive and unique and we will be back! My hubby and our other friend were stuffed after their barbeque and the burger, but if you order the tostadas, get a salad to go with. Just a little something to flesh out your meal. Get the butter cake!! Amazing! I loved that the chef is the owner and this is a scratch kitchen; you can taste the...
