Vegan Banh Mi (Loving Hut) — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

New spot in HB. Let's start with the Nachos. Their vegan nacho cheese is "made in house" and it's pretty tasty. The circular corn chips tasted store bought but no big deal as the big chunks of Avacado mixed with vegan sour cream made it for me. One of the ladies specially made me their homemade green salsa which was delicious.

The Kale Salad. Ingredients that I remember: Quinoa, Home Made Vinaigrette, Big Chunks of Avacado, Cherry Tomatoes, Soy BBQ Chikin. DELICIOUS. I'm not big on the Soy Meats but the BBQ Chikin added in to this salad had great flavor and made the salad balanced.

Alfredo Pasta. My wife liked the dish. Didn't love it. The Soy Shrimp was not her favorite. I felt the pasta was overcooked. I grew up in an Italian household so it's hard to please when it comes to pasta. Pasta has to be Al Dente, firm to the bite. Great flavor though.

I’ve had two really bad experiences at this location. The first one I ordered a couple items from the menu and I was dining in alone. The server took it upon herself to decide that I wanted one of the items to go while they made a bunch of other people’s food that arrived after me (including the same thing I ordered). I also was halfway done eating the one item they brought out then, I was finally given the tea I ordered. Again, they had served several other people the beverages they ordered. The second bad experience just happened. My friend and I arrived at 8pm Sunday night. There was a couple of people eating there. We were turned away. She said they close at 8pm. This is an UberEats order. The Crispy Chow Fun Noodle and the Fabulous Pho Soup travel well. My entire meal is super delicious and super filling. I literally have the meal for dinner, breakfast, and lunch. The sauces are really good though I like the spicier than sweet sauce. Both meals taste good warm and cold. When eating the Fabulous Pho Soup, I recommend squeezing the half of lime slice then dropping it in to settle for the best flavor and to get rid of the bitter flavor unless you like the bitter flavor.
