Rollrritto + Poke Bar — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

10/14/17 update. Been here many times more over the months. Consistently delicious as long as you stick to the fresh, tasty items and avoid the odd choices (seriously, jalapeno pepper slices??). Salmon, white rice, crab, ponzo or creamy sauce as the base + items that pair well like masago, edamame, seaweed, tamago, etc. The best poke I've had, and the only place I return to in the area. (And yes, OJ prices are still absurd.)

FIRST, DO NOT BUY THE OJ!!! Cheap way for the store to Gorge you out of $7 for OJ that's no better than Naked Juice. SECOND, do not believe them when they say anything is mildly spicy, like the creamy jalapeno sauce. Seriously hot enough to bring out the sniffles. FINALLY, it's actually one of the few decent poke bowl places I wouldn't mind eating at in the area (keeping in mind poke is not a proper chirashi, but an Americanized cheap spin). Flavors are tasty, the salmon good, white rice decently cooked (for an American joint), and from beginning to end, quite edible. Start with a small bowl - it'll fill most girls up 1/2-2/3rds of the way through. Pricing on the small bowl is very good at $9 given the number of ingredients and quality. My pick of white rice, only salmon, scoop of spicy tuna, scoop of imitation crab, mango, red onions, furikake, masago with spicy jalapeno sauce was very good...just watch the spiciness (ask for half or less if you can't handle it, or another non-spicy dressing like yuzu soy sauce). Green bamboo rice is forgettable, so skip .

Mom/pop shop that serves surprisingly really good poke. Got take out from grubhub, to use some monthly credit I had and picked this place!

Got the large poke bowl Togo and they have so many options for $18? Got 4 proteins + spicy tuna and spicy crab scoops are counted as sides. When I picked it up, my bowl felt like it was 2 lb 🥹 Don’t think I’ve felt food so heavy for such a long time. They really packed in everything and didn’t skimp out.

Flavor was good! Felt fresh but obviously I’d rec going earlier in the dinner time or day to get it freshest? Wish on the grub hub order app, I could have done an additional sauce, but they have plenty to choose from (just not an option ordering)

Inside looked kinda of like a quick deli shop. More of a quick spot to eat or takeout spot.

Would come back! Amazing deal for $18...

Definitely fresh and good flavors. Not mind blowing, but quality for sure. A+ for thought into branding/design/packaging. It'd be nice if there were more places to sit. Recommend grabbing and going.

Poke: I'm more partial to the simple Hawaiian style of poke than the create-your-combo-of-scoops Japanese style... but the fish is very good. Selection pretty standard for this style of poke.

Rollrritto: These are fun. Fresh and delicious. Actually a lot of fish in them, not just rice and filling. Branded boxes for rollrrittos are great as design/packaging, but maybe a little hard to get the roll out from (maybe it's bc they overstuff the rolls... in which case keep...
