Omaha Steaks, For years, my mother has sent us Omaha Steaks for the holidays. This year, I returned the favor. Then I kept getting texts and emails to join in your Cyber Monday deals. To treat my family, and save my mother the expense, I loaded my cart with over $200 in meat for our holiday gathering. After nearly 30 minutes of getting all of my choices selected, to make use of your Cyber Monday deal of discounts and free shipping, I was met with a whopping $44 shipping fee, despite your advertisement for free shipping on any order over $149.00. Disappointed, I phoned your customer service line. The agent looked into my concern, about being charged for the shipping despite your ads, probably due to your policy to exclude Hawaii and Alaska residents for shipping. She said if I ordered over the phone, she could waive the shipping. I went on with her to redo my order, and listened to her upselling pitch, even adding to my cart. I was transferred to the credit card line and authorized the charge for my order. Upon returning, I added more to my order with her upselling. By then, we had been on the phone for nearly 30 minutes. She then said she was having trouble getting the order to go through and she reached out on her end to customer service support. She came back and said it would be a few more minutes. After another 15 minutes, a new agent came on without introducing herself and asked me why I was calling. I told her that after 45 minutes on the phone it was inappropriate for her to start off with me as if she had no idea why I was on the phone. She was initially vague about not being able to resolve my order. I asked her if she was recanting what the previous agent had been processing for me. She became curt and blamed "several new hires" for the mis-statement. If you can't hire and train people appropriately to manage your business, what's the point of lamenting to me? I'm the one that was misled, left hanging with over $200 in my cart, and a bad taste in my mouth. I had also wasted nearly 1.5 hours on a busy Monday dealing with this drama when I could have been out spending my money on Cyber Monday deals that were legitimate. I have cancelled my account. I will no longer buy for anyone from your business. There is absolutely zero reason for your policy against Americans that live in 2 states. It costs you nothing, or only very slightly more to include us in your dealings because your shipping is by contract and bulk agreement. Clearly, you lack aloha and do not deserve my business nor the notoriety that you are such an inclusive company. If you are so proud of your "community" involvement, why not start at home with the people who live here and pay for your products? I'll end now, considering I will be spending more of my precious time writing ill reviews about this discriminatory practice. I would say thank you for your time, but you have demonstrated you care little about mine. Be sure you don't charge my card either, despite providing me a confirmation number. And don't blame the girl who helped me, if you didn't train her up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHereās a Customer Service story that I bet you havenāt heard before so I ordered my Omaha steaks for my family members shipping across the United States to multiple locations and all of a sudden one of them wasnāt shipping to my daughter and husband with their newborn, just to town away! Since it was late I figured Iād deal with it today the next day I received a call at 6:30 in the morning from a customer service rep at Omaha Steaks. They noticed that I wrote Merry Christmas in the note and card I was sending along with the package of fine meats; it was scheduled to be there for Thanksgiving. They were concerned I had accidentally meant to send it for Christmas. And they just wanted to make sure that I wanted to send it on the date I had entered (thanksgiving ish) online. 𤩠Unbelievable! Service. Like an old Nordstrom story. We actually change the date because after talking to the customer service rep it wouldāve been better to have it come the following Monday so this is what added value is people: free things. Like advice and thinking. They really are watching out for their customers at Omaha Steaks. My extended family is A Customer for life now! Everyoneās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought $200 cash and was very excited to order from Omaha here in Huntington! I had no idea there was a store! I arrived, but had to walk back to my car , as they have a sign posting a mandatory mask ordinance for the store. Ok. So, I put my mask on...and was happily telling the girl how excited I was to be able to walk in and not have to order on line ...but was interrupted by her, "yeah....yeah ok". It was clear she wasn't listening , so I paused. In a stern tone she said, "pull your mask above your nose". No please, no acknowledgment of my kind words, just a cold stare. I was so taken aback by her rudeness, that I just said, ok...never mind. Thank you....and walked back to my car. Sad she felt a need to be so cold and rude. Won't be going back to receive that kind of undeserved treatment ever again. I found a local butcher shop on Warner and was happy with their prices and their awesome , warm customer service. Omaha, you made a...
