The horchata frape was delicious. But the reason I give it 2 stars is because there's this employee that made me feel unwanted on the both times I've been to this location. Today was the second time and I can't believe it is the same person. Listen, I respect employees in the food industry because they do get customers that would make their lives miserable and I have family that work in this industry as well. Even if some people would make mistakes with my orders, I would let it slide if the product looks good. So that said, I didn't want to write a bad review, but after today, I had to. On the first time, I just asked for my coffee which I waited for a while, While others who were behind me, recieved theirs. When I asked if it was almost done, this employee gave me attitude for no reason. The second time, the restroom door couldn't open because it was stuck. I called my friend over for he can try to open it, but he couldn't either. When I asked the employee for help, the employee did something with door to make it open. After the employee opened the door, the employee gave the key back to me with a miserable look. Maybe the employee had a bad day and its understandable, I've been there. But what...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place to go study/get work done/do homework this place isn't it because they have no Wi-Fi. Terrible...considering on google they advertise that they do. As it is, in this neighborhood we do not have many places/cafes where we can go to and be productive, so you would expect this to be one of those. As a company ran by latinos, that targets the latino crowd/neighborhoods it's sad that they can't provide the bare minimum for its people in a nice, safe space for us to get things done.
Main reason this is an issue is because I had been here years ago and I remember there being Wi-Fi. Meaning they had to decide between saving a few 100 dollars a month on an internet bill or having a nice quality place for adults and kids/teens, and they chose the former. Sad this is how you give back to a community that has made you into what you are now. Also the coffee isn't that good. Only reason people shop here is because the name is in spanish and they want to feel different by not getting starbucks (which isn't that great either). However, starbucks at least has wifi so i know where i'll be getting my average coffee.
Also...the shop on Santa Fe does not have...
Read moreSo i should start by saying the food was as good as always and nothing was wrong with my order. Everything was great in regards to the food. However, in regards to sitting outside and drinking our coffee it seems different. We couldn't sit inside because of COVID protocols but we were allowed to sit outside. But when trying to find a space in the makeshift location they had, there was no lights and looked like no one took the time to clean it. Seems to be dirty and more than one day old stains but luckily i carried wipes. There was only two chairs from the seats there which was a concern so we moved to the benches and wasnt bad and better cleaned. However, the floor outside seemed messy like did not sweep at all. When we left we were on oir way out and i looked back only to see even their sign has been damaged and just blinking almost like a run down motel. I honestly like the food but the upkeep here in this location needs to really change. However, coffee and churro muffins were...
