Curry boys — Restaurant in Huntington Park

Ive been eating out of this place for the past 4 months, probably have had this about 7 or 8 times. I keep coming back to this spot because its delicious. The food has the perfect spice blends to it. The sauces are creamy with a good kick and pair so perfectly with the rice. It always hits the spot and is very satisfying. Most of the time we order with the uber eats app and get two meals with garlic nann for less than 35. This last time we got two meals with the garlic nann and it came out to be just over 40. This seems hefty for take out. I want to give five stars because the food is so good and i will probably be back. The place is very small and is very hole in the wall ish, would not have come here if i hadnt seen the reviews first. I want to note the place had a B grade for their health inspection review which i take into consideration as well in overall quality. I still recommend trying this spot out, they have a very convinient 2 or 3 item combo as opposed to other spots that sell by the item. I will most likely stick to ordering from the uber eats app as it seemed cheaper this way. I recently visited Curry Boys in Huntington Park, and my experience was highly disappointing. The establishment was unclean, with dirty plates left on the tables. For the majority of my visit, there was only one employee managing the entire restaurant. After some time, a second worker arrived, apparently only because they didn’t have enough change for cash transactions. I had a 100 dollar bill and the total was $48 dollars with some charge/

The restaurant has a peculiar policy where paying with cash earns you a discount, but if you use a card, they charge an additional 3.5% fee, plus 10 cents. They wanted me to use my card after they didn’t have change and they wanted me to take on that extra charge.

Despite these unusual payment practices, the service was terrible—both slow and rude.

Furthermore, I’m not impressed with their new portion sizes, which have noticeably shrunk. When serving, they mostly fill the plate with sauce and only add one or two small pieces of chicken. The overall experience left a lot to be desired, and I sincerely hope the downtown location is better because I won’t be returning to the Huntington...

This place was good but on the outside you can’t see it very well. I went while it was dark outside so it was easy to find but if it was light outside it would probably be hard to find. I ordered the 2 item meal with chicken curry, potatoes and peas, with rice and naan. My dad and his friend just got chicken curry with rice. It came up to a little over $40. Overall the food was good and there was good customer service. My dad said he expected a bigger space and that it was okay overall. He also said that it was spicy(for background info we are Ghanaian(african) which is something he rarely says while eating different foods.
