I work in an office located in South Point. We get Cam's for lunch often and it's always been fantastic! However, the service today has been enough for me not to return or order from there period. As well as our entire office. I can understand someone having a bad day and I always give folks the benefit of the doubt. We ordered 4 sandwiches, fries and onion rings. I understand that things happen and an order may get messed up here and there. That was totally not the issue here. The issue was when we called in to let them know and to find a resolution, we were met with hostility and extreme rudeness. I did not appreciate the attitude and lack of customer service given. We did not ask for free food and did not expect it. I worked in food service myself for years and know very well how some people cry wolf. However, we offered to take photos of each sandwich (all 4 were made incorrectly) and would have gladly brought them in at a later date (couldn't leave again today as we only get a 30 minute lunch). The response was "I find it hard to believe that we got all 4 wrong". All 4 were incorrect, what can we do to get this fixed? The response, "I can't give you $30 in free food". I'm not asking for free food but I AM asking for you to make this right as it was your mistake. The response, "Well I don't know what you want me to do about it". The original female who answered the phone, was extremely rude as she explained to the male working there, what was wrong. We order from Cam's often and it's sad we won't be ordering from them anymore. It's great when your food is correct but heaven forbid it's not because you won't get much help there. I truly hope they're able to figure something out with the customer service aspect because the responses today were...
Read moreGoing to Cams Ham today was my wife's idea. I don't much care for it. Today's order was as messed up as possible. My wife ordered four small hams and one order of onion rings. They charged us for four small sandwiches and four onion rings. When I stopped by to pick up the order, they told me they didn't have it. I went to my car and called my wife. She told me of the discrepancy on the order. I went back inside to be certain they didn't have the order. Supervisor quickly gave me my order. I guess she did that so I'd hustle my butt out the door. When I got home, my wife opened the bags. We had three sandwiches and three onion rings. Supervisor said she would be unable to refund for what we didn't receive unless we brought the debit card in. Gimme a break. We live in Ona. Terrible service. Now, for my evaluation of the food. Ham is sliced too thin & falls off the bun. Flavor is great if you like mayonnaise. Onion rings are worse. Absolutely no flavor. I think they're dipped in a batter with no seasonings & deep fried. Restaurant is dirty and a throwback to the 60s. I thought customers were not supposed to be allowed behind the counter or near the food. Customers consistently pass behind the cash register & passing within 2 or 3 feet of the orders waiting on the counter. In spite of the first screwup of our order, we were ok with that. Not apologizing and going overboard to make it right was not good. We'll...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Cam's Ham in Huntington, WV, and I must say, it lived up to its legendary status. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. But let's talk about what truly makes Cam's Ham a standout: the food. The large ham sandwich was an absolute delight. Picture thin flakes of lean ham, piled high on a toasted Grecian bun, topped with crisp lettuce, and coated in a sweet, mayo-based secret sauce that ties the whole experience together. It's a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor, and without a doubt, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.But the experience didn't stop there. The onion rings were nothing short of incredible. Hand-cut and battered, they were the perfect blend of crispy and savory, making them an irresistible companion to the ham sandwich. Together, they created a meal that was satisfying in a way that few others can match. In summary, Cam's Ham offered not just a meal, but an experience. The quality of the food, especially the large ham sandwich and the onion rings, was exceptional. And while the place did get busy, leading to a bit of a wait, the friendly and attentive staff made sure the experience remained enjoyable throughout. It's easy to see why Cam's Ham is a beloved spot in Huntington, and I can't...
