I feel as though I should rate thos store a 2, but I'm not going to let one person ruin the rating for everyone else. As we have purchased a few hundred dollars over the past few weeks, all have been very nice. However, today as we were loading 3 big items (required use of a dolly) onto our truck, before we could get it all secured a more elderly lady rudely walked over to the door and started pulling it down to shut (not caring that we hadn't fully gotten the furniture pushed into the truck) and grabbed the rope, started pulling the door down and very hastily said "you're letting all my air conditioning" out. We literally had to pull the truck up to finish loading what we had and secure the load. We were parked within inches of the door, hitting the tailgate! And all this after my fiancé was even nice enough to help another employee load a stove onto his dolly for another customer. There was another lady and the cashier (young, maybe early 20's) they were the best! Granted, this lady may have been having hot flashes, but I think too old for menopause. There's no need to treat people badly just because you're having a bad day or you're hot yourself.Treating others badly only speaks badly of yourself. In a world so full of hate, be kind. Maybe the next time, we'll pull the truck in a little closer so as not to have the door slammed down on us. Prayers for the mean elder lady. We will still continue to conduct business there. Buying and donating as well. It's for a good cause. God...
Read moreI WON’T BE BACK , RUDEST RESTORE ENCOUNTER EVER While shopping with my daughter I found an area rug clearly marked $20 , I thought finally a good deal since everything thing else seemed overpriced, I proceeded to load it on a cart and headed to check out.The lady asked what the price on the tag was, I said $20 , she literally came across the counter, she spoke to us very rudely, and started raising her voice at us saying, “That isn’t the price!! Someone tried the same thing yesterday !” I was confused and now feeling like I was being accused of trying to steal or something . Her reaction was so bad, that another male volunteer told her she needed to calm down and if that was the price marked on it to sell the d$&$ thing and not worry about it. She raised her voice at him and said she wouldn’t sell it for that price, just at that moment another lady comes storming from the back asking what was going on? The woman at the register told her the price marked on the rug and that lady looks at us and tells us she is the one in charge of pricing and “No, that is NOT THE PRICE” She then acts like we had switched the tag !! To which I said ,” the tag is clearly your tag and hasn’t been tampered with”. She then stated it had fallen onto the rug by accident. ???? At this point I’m mad and insulted, I said, “ I wouldn’t give you a $100 for a dirty used rug , I can buy a new rug for that price.” I’m all for helping those in need, but Don’t waste your time stopping at...
Read moreI thought Habitat for Humanity is for people in need? Everyone there was pretty well off in my opinion. I dropped off a bunch of stuff, appliances, desks, heaters, a fridge and they were rude as heck. No one thanked me, two people were rude, one guy cussed me, and they threw away working heaters and appliances right in front of me instead of bothering to clean them. They said they were too dirty...I guess beggars can be choosers because a family in need would love a large space heater, no? A family in need would love a new working fridge, no? A family in need would love a new desk, no? Not to mention I gave all this stuff free, took time out of my day to bring it down at no charge to them...Very ungrateful, very rude, parents didn't raise these people right. I'll throw my stuff in the trash before I go there again. Helping the poor, lmao, they are lazy and rude and throw away anything that would trouble them that's not brand new. A disgrace to...
