Definitely will come again! My wife said we should try this new place so we came for lunch. It was easy to miss from the road and has a quaint, classic Alabama atmosphere. The food was excellent, though! I got the fish tacos, and I highly recommend them! They come with fantastic flour tortillas and a slightly creamy red cabbage slaw. Reasonably priced at $12.95, they come with menu says it comes with rice, but it actually comes with rice AND a side of delicious veggies. I received perfectly cooked batons of zucchini, summer squash, and carrots with a couple small broccoli florets. Gently seasoned and cooked in a little butter. It was excellent! I've read some online reviews for Alan's Cafe but was a little skeptical of them but then by chance my husband and I stopped by this past Monday and were made believers. Not only were we greeted when we walked in, the lady had a beautiful welcoming smile. The appearance of the place was very neat and tidy. The food was really good.

Honestly some things wouldn't even have to be on point in order for me to return (it's just a bonus). What did it for me was the smile. Literally the fact that we felt welcomed in instead of the feeling of being a burden on an establishment is enough to get me back in the doors.

Absolutely fantastic. I don’t leave reviews unless I really think a place deserves them. The customer service and owner are both absolutely fantastic, very kind and sincerely care about their food and customers. This is a small, locally owned and operated restaurant which I always enjoy. We ordered fish tacos and the breakfast plate. Entrees were about 13$ each. The pancakes were some of the best I’ve ever had and the fish tacos were fantastic as well.
