American Deli — Restaurant in Huntsville

I rarely go to American deli but usually don’t have any problems. I took a friend to try it for the first time and ordered outside of my usual philly and wings, great deal by the way 😊, and we ordered the gyro meals instead. They started the meat on the grill and the cashier swiped my card 10 times and tried my other 5 times saying it was declining but I knew I had money on both. I read him the receipt showing it was an error on their end and not mine. He kept blaming me and finally decided to restart the machine when five other people walked in still no luck. I asked everyone if they were paying by card and they were and to try there’s to show him. The manager finally came and tried his card only to concede it was the machine. They lost five customers and I had to go to the atm come back. Offered no discount or apology and put the same meat on the grill to recook. The food wasn’t good, except the fries and drink, and it ended with me and my friend being unhappy and over compensating with sauces to eat $35 worth of...

Good food bad customer service. I ordered lemon pepper wings. When the box was opened at the counter they were hot wings. I said that they order was wrong and the cashier wanted to call me a lie. I order the same once a week. I wasn’t offered a redo or my money back. I witnessed the same treatment to another customer about a month ago and the owner tried to tell her what she ordered. And like her I won’t be going back. I’m not a dog you just not going to throw me a bone and expect me to wag my tail. I’m old enough to be that young lady’s grandmother. I rally like American Deli. I think they’re one of the top wings spots on my list. The food is cooked fresh but my only issue is with the wings. If you order a 10 pieces or more of their wings they will always put these tiny pieces that looks like a chicken wing but make you wonder how da hell it get so tiny! Then they’ll place it at the bottom of the wing pile so all the regular size wings are on the top. I’ve complained about this before as I really loved their lemon-pepper hot wings but if I order 10, I’m really just getting about 5 regular wings. They really need to stop serving people these roach size pieces of meat...
