Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Huntsville

Called the restaurant, asked to speak to a manager and wanted to tell them that sushi was made incorrectly and not as described or shown in pictures in the menu. The manager I spoke to kept saying “if you didn’t like the food you can request a refund through door dash” I have reached out to door dash for a refund but what the manager didn’t understand was it wasn’t a matter of if we didn’t like the food, I just wanted him to know it was made incorrectly. Eel roll - supposed to be just eel and avocado. Roll was loaded with cucumber and almost no eel meat or avocado. Spider roll - supposed to be a rice roll. Received seaweed wrapped roll loaded with cucumber and so little rice it wasn’t even completely around the roll. Godzilla roll - roll was so messy it was just fell apart, and had almost no spicy tuna in it (which was supposed to be one of the primary ingredients). Good service, good price, good portions, but man the food needs some work.

My General Tso's chicken was swimming in a bucket of sauce leaving most of the pieces super soggy and way to wet. The few pieces on top that were not submerged were surprisingly crispy and pretty good. The dish would have been much better with maybe a 1/4 of the sauce. Pretty sure the Lo Mein was just spaghetti noodles and not the traditional Chinese egg noodles I expected. Also the lo mein came with zero vegetables. Some places give you way to many, this place gives you none at all. The white rice was fine, and the crab rangoons were okay as well although lacking in filling.

Usually, the food is delicious but today, I was highly disappointed. I ordered a deep fried California roll. It consisted of veggies inside a seaweed wrap and deep fried with no rice. Who does that? The fried tempura shrimp crunch roll was okay. I also ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi. It was cooked with no teriyaki sauce and the veggies were bland with no taste. The meats and rice were dry. Normally I’m worried about the juices spilling in my car, but that was not a concern today. I can’t say that I’ll drive across town for that again.
