I am generally not one to eat at gas stations. I have nothing against them, it is just that they aren't part of my normal pattern for eating. New Orleans Lunchbox is the only one to get into my lunch rotation list. And I am told everything is good there, but I have never gotten past the Jambalaya. The first time I went I bought a quart because I was in a hurry and have never gotten past it on the menu because it is so good. It is thick with a variety of meats and some heat that gives it a little kick without any tears or need for buttermilk to sooth the burn. These people make a tasty mix for Jambalaya. It is at Holmes and Jordan which is easy access from Redstone or Research park and they do have some seating, but I always get mine to go and eat it on teleconferences. Great stuff. Great people. Definitely worth the stop.

Great place to grab lunch or dinner. Awesome PoBoys. Had the wing special today and they were really good. No need for dipping sauce since they are well seasoned and smoked to perfection but the homemade ranch was a bonus. Juicy full of flavor. Fries were hot, fresh and crispy. Locally owned and great people that make sure you’re taken care of. It would be great to see them take their business and have their own place. It would be a hit. Check them out. Highly recommend.

Had a meat and 3, and it was very good! I had smoked pork and gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya. It was all good, and I would say the gumbo may have been my favorite. They also know how to make good smoked pork.. just a hint of smoke.. really good…. And they give you a ton of food! Don’t let the gas station location fool you.. and the bathroom and eating area are very clean. I will definitely come back and eat here again when in Huntsville.

E for effort! The gas station clerk was the sweetest; she recommended the hushpuppies. The hushpuppies were a hit, as for everything else we'll discuss it. The gumbo was salty. The jambalaya was dry. Sausage was the only thing good about the red beans and rice. The brisket was overcooked, even the fatty part was dry. Catfish was fried to perfection and tasted great. It would have been nice if the catfish were filets instead of strips. The shrimp seemed to be fresh, slightly salty, however the oysters had to have been out of a can or jar; very chewy. Fries were not crispy, macaroni and cheese was bland, and coleslaw was tasteless could've used some seasoning. HUSHPUPPIES 100% WOULD RECOMMEND, appeared to have been homemade with a little corn. The staff could have been a little bit more honest. They said "Everything's good on the menu"! They got me, but never again! LOL Too expensive for a second chance. They do offer other menu items including sandwiches, BBQ, as...

This place is a hidden gem.

It's run by a bunch of folks from NOLA. The main draws are authentic po boys, jambalaya, gumbo, etc... PLUS some things you wouldn't expect. They have a bunch of awards for their wings. They have an EXCELLENT pit master out back that makes some of the best brisket you'll find just about anywhere (especially in the Huntsville-Decatur area. I'm looking at YOU, Big Bob Gibson). They even have southern influenced fusion items like the hillbilly burrito, which sport bbq and so many other things that I can't even describe it. The bread pudding is an out of body experience as well.

Don't let the fact that this place is inside of a gas station, or the fact that the seating is just sort of out in the open inside the store scare you away. I was weary of this place too, until my friends took me here. It's fantastic, and considerably better than the other cajun options...

Ok I looked at you guys reviews yesterday and I saw alot of people giving good comments but I don't see how if I could give you guys a 0 stars I would maybe 07/24/18 wasn't a good day or they good cooker was off me and my husband went here and we order beef brisket plates with 2 sides my sides was mac & cheese and coleslaw the mac didn't have any seasoning in it and the coleslaw was dry it was terrible and my husband sides was baked beans and potatoes salad he also said they was terrible too not to mention we paid 36.00 for both of us it was a waste of money because we threw it away our kids said the same thing when we bought it home the brisket was very salty so I recommend no one to go here unless you like salty meat and unsalted vegetables they will never get my money again and also to mention I had to go to the E.R last night due to my blood pressure was high from that salty...
