My work program booked me into this hotel for a couple of weeks, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had—and I've stayed at hundreds worldwide. The manager clearly dislikes his job and makes guests feel unwelcome from the start. You're expected to follow numerous unspoken rules without any initial briefing, such as no visitors after 9 PM, mandatory weekly maid service to change sheets, no leaving pets unattended, minimal personal belongings, and maintaining an excessively clean room. The rules list seems endless. The weekly inspections will happen with or without you. They have no interest in what you may have to do or if you are sick. They don't care what shift you may be working. You are expected to be ready when they knock on the door. They spend all their time looking for reasons to kick out customers. I have never seen them friendly or worried that they are losing customers. ||This is the first hotel I've ever encountered that performs routine room inspections. It's suited more for older guests on a strict budget who only need a quiet place to sleep. Forget about normal hotel experiences—you can’t argue, play music, have sheet mishaps, cry loudly, or let your dog bark, or you'll immediately be asked to leave. Even common courtesies like quietly shutting doors or promptly answering calls from the front office are strictly enforced. Lose a key, and you'll face angry reprimands and a $5 fine.||Room inspections are unreasonably thorough, and your deposit is at risk for even minor infractions such as stained towels, any evidence of smoking, trash left behind, or any minor disorganization. The same two housekeepers perform daily checks, promptly reporting any perceived issues directly to the manager, who will immediately confront and reprimand guests without concern for explanations.||Moreover, this hotel is very old, poorly maintained, and badly needs updates. Serious plumbing problems, including water damage on the first floor, are evident. It's unclear what kind of establishment they're trying to be, but comfort, privacy, and basic hospitality certainly aren't part of...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. First red flag: no elevator. We had to haul all our luggage up filthy stairs — and I mean dirty as hell.
And then we get into the room… The door didn’t even shut properly unless you body-slammed it. In the bathroom, my dad literally had to hold the faucet down to turn on the water because it was barely attached — same with the shower. There was also a huge hole in the bathroom door. Just what you want to see when you’re already wondering how clean the place is.
The towels? Still had makeup stains from whoever was there before us (I hope that’s all it was). The fridge didn’t work until my dad MacGyvered it into working just enough. I wouldn’t even sleep under the blanket — the room was so gross I was scared to touch anything. Thank god I brought my own pillow and blanket.
You could hear everything — yelling, TVs, people stomping around, and just overall shady stuff all night. If I didn’t have Ambien, I wouldn’t have slept a minute.
And then checkout… I come out to a flat tire with a screw stuck in it. While my dad is on the ground changing the tire, the cleaning guy (maybe manager?) and front desk worker rush out asking if we’re leaving and demanding our keys — while we’re clearly still dealing with the car. We told them we planned to drop the keys off once the tire was fixed, but they kept pressing, so we handed the keys over and told them to go ahead and do whatever they needed.
As soon as the tire was changed, we got the hell out of there. They say “you get what you pay for” — and now I know exactly what that means.
Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. RUN. Spend a few more bucks and stay somewhere that isn’t...

I arrived to my first room and was immediately hit with a strong smell of mold and mildew. The room was partially below ground level, with a window facing directly onto asphalt. Hinges and vents were crusted with rust, and streaks of rusty drips ran down the walls. It felt damp, dark, and unsafe.
I asked to be moved and the front desk -while not rude- seemed completely unfazed, though they did switch me to another room. Unfortunately, the new room was no better. It was dark, hot, and humid with the AC off, and none of the entryway light switches worked. Looking up, I saw the bulb was missing. When I returned to the desk, I was told the fixture was broken.
At that point, as a single female traveling alone, I did not feel safe or comfortable. I asked to check out, only to be told I would "likely" not get a refund, despite not unpacking or spending the night.
To make matters worse, after leaving and finding another hotel, I contacted the property about a refund. Instead of showing any concern, the owner called me a liar and a thief, outright refusing to acknowledge the mold, broken fixtures, or conditions I experienced.
I normally choose Red Roof because of their bright, clean, and welcoming aesthetic- comfortable blankets, clean towels, maybe a simple snack tray- nothing extravagant, but dependable. This location had none of that. It was damp, uncomfortable, and mismanaged to the point I worried about bedbugs.
This hotel is not up to Red Roof standards, and I strongly recommend staying elsewhere. I will also be contacting Red Roof corporate and the BBB regarding...
