Quintin and Micha were both great and very helpful and personable, if they were able to solve my issue I wouldâve happily left 5 stars but thatâs not the case. They did help and definitely found some issues but the diagnostic capabilities of the dealership are lacking and might need some additional attention. Brought my vehicle in due to a check engine light with PSM failure, start stop deactivation message and then running and idling terribly. This would go away after shutting the car off for a minute then start all over again randomly. Scanned the vehicle and multiple misfires on random cylinders was the issue (started on cylinders 3 & 6 moved to 5 then 1). Took in to have it checked out and agreed to a diagnostic fee. Micha found bad plugs and replaced the 8 plugs⌠great! Agree they were bad. Done, same issue⌠kept the car an additional day. Reset still came back and said it was a coil pack on cylinder 5. Replaced coil pack and all was well until it wasnât and failed again after I picked up the car 10 minutes into ride home. Called and Quintin said they would be happy to take it back into service for further diagnosis. After almost $1800 for plugs a coil pack and a diagnostic check that obviously didnât work with a leak down check recommended at almost an additional $800 I decided to limp my car home to fix it myself. Consulted Porsche Cayenne Technical group on Facebook and posted my issues and most seemed to focus on plugs and coil packs but a couple of folks mentioned MAF sensor even though thereâs no MAF on my specific car but a MAP sensor. Ordered 8 new Beru OEM coil packs from Pelican Auto Parts for $300 and bought and Bosch OEM MAP sensor from oreillys for $89. Replaced MAP since coil packs wouldnât arrive until Monday (this was Saturday) and like magic the car ran much better but still failed every once in awhile. Scanned car and confirmed misfire again but this time it was not on random cylinders but only on cylinder 1. Replaced all 8 coil packs and it was now good to go with no misfires or codes. Turns out it was a combination of all three item, spark plugs, coil packs and MAP sensor. I wouldnât have expected the dealership tech not to immediately think about a MAP sensor if it wasnât a common failure item when multiple misfires on random cylinders presents itself but it is and that shouldâve been one of the first items to recommend replacing. The diagnostic check shouldâve caught the plugs. Coil packs commonly need replacing every 40-50k miles anyway but the Porsche dealer should have a network that shares maintenance data across all Porsche dealers but it doesnât and the maintenance history for the car is not shared and each dealer is...
Read moreIf I could give a lower rating I would. Took the car to get an oil change and have climate control looked at. I must say the tech sent two videos within 3 hours of dropping the car off of various problems that they noticed on the car. None of which had anything to do with the oil change or climate control system. Their suggestive repairs came to over 16,000. They never checked the climate controller because they said that the coolant level was low and they were unable to add coolant because the coolant in the car was not " Porsche"coolant. They said that they were not allowed to mix coolants. Even if that was the case in today's world we're prestone coolant can be added to any other coolant including dex cool OAT and other varieties they could have simply added distilled water and then would have had enough fluid in the system to check the climate control. But they simply refused. They found a nail in the back rear tire and refused to fix that instead let me drive home with a nail in the tire. They said because the tires were too old to fix. They kept the car three and a half weeks and not once did they actually call or send me any information until I call them on several occasions. When I went to pick the car up after refusing all services other than the oil change they even had difficulty getting into their building and took an additional 15 minutes to 20 minutes to even pick the car up. I would suggest you make the drive to Birmingham as they are much more friendly to owners than this outfit is. I personally will...
Read moreThis is the most discombobulated, shady, unethical, unorganized, dealership Iâve ever met.
If you would like zero communication, dodged calls, sarcastic responses, & zero answers for any questions you have this is the dealership for you. This dealership has had my vehicle for two months and waited until the last day to get anything approved under insurance- meaning it would be an additional 2 weeks. We were told for the 3rd time we could come pick up our vehicle, and unfortunately we were denied again for a 3rd time with zero explanation. To have someone go out of their way 3 separate times is completely inappropriate. It seems very sketchy that they will not release the vehicle even under the circumstances of payment being placed in front of them.
Expect to be greeted by a receptionist who chooses to watch Netflix & twiddle her thumbs knitting instead of offer help, for the service employees to talk to you like youâre less than & for everyone to blame their coworker next to them if there is any type of problem.
There is zero accountability held for any additional problems & inconvenience this dealership will unavoidably cause. Please think twice about buying from them or even servicing from them. Unfortunately the more people I share my experience with, the more people I come to understand have actually had the same or worse experience.
We are still without my vehicle.
IF they ever decide to return it, my vehicle will be going to Nashville from here on out and I will never step foot in this poorly managed...
