Oriental Express — Restaurant in Huntsville

I used to love this restaurant, but I got takeout yesterday and was extremely disappointed. It has really gone downhill… I would usually just blow it off that they were having an “off” day, but every single thing I ordered had issues: ;( The ‘hot and sour soup’ was actually ‘warm and bitter soup’, and had entirely too much salt. The ‘spicy chicken’ would have been ok- but again- ENTIRELY too much salt! And I am a SALT-O-HOLIC!? I was unable to eat even half of it… I got half fried rice, which was crunchy and old, and half ‘lo Mein’ noodles- which were actually spaghetti noodles!?!? So strange for Chinese food?? The fried wontons (or ‘CHIPS’, as the lady behind the counter refers to them?) that come with the soup were stale and bitter- they tasted a week old!? I doubt that I will ever go back- but if I do, it will definitely be a long while as I will need time to forget about this terrible...

Always looking for the perfect shrimp fried rice and pepper steak. Not gonna happen People if you ever go to any city in Michigan.Especially Flint you'll find the best tasting Chinese food, Oriental and anything else served. Im not putting this place down but they're stingy with the shrimp in fried rice. Like 2 or 4 shrimp is not ideal to a good box of fried rice, in michigan its like omg every fork full is delight. So i believe they could pep up the Shrimp in fried rice make it eye appealing and satisfying. You'll see better results with more stars👼 well its just my way of sharing facts...

Foods good, but they need to work on employee accountability. Came in for 3 plates, checked out, lady handed me my food said thank you and I left. I get home to get a call from my job and they’re telling me she’s there. She went to my job and told my employees that I gave her a false card and ran out on her with the food. She swiped my card back and said thank you before handing me my food and putting my fork and straws in the bag. Maybe if she wasn’t so busy talking to whoever she had in the back, she would’ve realized she didn’t properly swipe my card to complete this...
