Tonight when we walked in two ladies were in the back, one kept her back to us so she wouldn't have to acknowledge us and the other just kept looking at us and talking to the first. The second one even walked up to us and we thought we'll finally as we had been standing there for like 10 minutes, but again she didn't even acknowledge us with a nod of her head or we will be right with you. Went right back to the other lady and continued to talk with her even sitting at the table with her. A young man I later figured out was Khan had been running back and forth waiting on a table finally asked if we were door dash and we told him no we were waiting for a table. He sat us and again we waited as apparently the 2nd lady the one in white was supposed to take our table, but she still never once acknowledged us short of to talk about us, loudly enough I could hear every word. Khan after about another 5-10 minutes asked if anyone had taken our order and I told him no, which he then took our drink order. I then over heard the two ladies loudly discussing that he should take our table because the 2nd lady that only had one table at this point and the 1st no table and we made Khan 3rd table. He took our table and I watched and listened as these two ladies lied to the manager Kenny stating that we were door dash which is why they ignored us. As they talked about Khan and even the first one going up yo yell at Khan who was steadily working taking all the orders seating all the ppl and checking out all the ppl leaving. While these two ladies sat in the back folding napkins and talking about him to each other and the manager Kenny. I even watched the manger Kenny serving tables and seating ppl as these two ladies sat on thier behinds and talked about customers and coworkers. Khan was great!! Service was fast once we were waited on thanks to Khan and my gluten friendly pancakes really hit the spot!!Khan deserves an employee of the month though as he is trying to juggle it all and those two ladies were telling Kenny stuff about him and saying they were gonna tell someone first thing tomorrow cause they are tired of it. What they are tired of I never figured out with all their dramatics through our visit, I guess sitting on their butt's and talking trash 🤷♀️ idk!! I really had to do a double take to figure out if I was at Waffle House with the midnight showing or at IHop with my yummy gluten friendly pancakes!! BTW thank you so much for the gluten friendly option...
Read moreMost unprofessional staff I have ever seen. I placed a carry out order over the phone, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I live about 10 minutes away, so I left. I got there 10 minutes later, and waited another 20 minutes to get my food. The order was wrong, so I sent it back. It came back again and it was wrong again, so I sent it back again. Finally, 40 minutes after placing my order, I got my food, still incorrect, but I didn't want to wait any longer and left.
Where was the manager? He was right there at the front desk. He watched me wait the whole time. He went outside to smoke in the front of the building repeatedly. He called/texted people on his cell phone. He casually conversed with the wait staff, in front of customers, about his (and others) sexual orientations and his experiences with domestic violence related to that.
What's worse? I heard him explicitly discuss with the girl at the front desk (she was not dressed professionally, had iPhone/iPod headphones in, and was apparently the owners daughter) how he was told by the owner to clock out at 11AM since he, and others, were "way way over on hours" and how he would be "paid in cash instead". He discussed how everyone that worked there was in the same situation as him too, and how it was a constant problem. He said how much he liked "getting paid under the table". I am no lawyer or accountant, but last time I checked, that is labor fraud and a serious ethics violation. I am pretty sure the IRS and Better Business Bureau would LOVE to hear all about it. I intend to ensure they both do.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! I have only ever had 1 IHOP experience that was positive, and it was in another state. This will be the last time I eat...
Read moreI'll start by saying this is my first ever 1-star review and there were only 4-5 tables being used when we were there. This store is run by teenagers who have zero supervision. We had a very sweet but very new waiter so things were slow WHICH IS OK. What's not ok is that not a single person in this place thought it was their responsibility to help this poor kid. Other waiters did nothing but sit around laughing, joking, and cursing with their friends and the manager soon joined in. Our food order came out wrong and normally that could be the waiters fault but when you order a hamburger with no changes or substitution and it comes out missing half of the toppings and a tomato slice that was cut from the top (all skin) and about the size of a quarter you can blame the cook staff. It took this poor kid another 10 minutes to get the right toppings. The manager finally decided to see what was going on when I stood up and decided to get syrup and other things myself. The manager decided his best course of action was to blame everything on the waiter, take zero responsibility, and refused to remove the items from our order that we never received. Also, this place was out of catsup and I was told they hadn't had any all day. You're right next to a Walmart! Go grab some catsup! The food we did get looked like it had been thrown on a plate as an afterthought. My kids got some sort of cookie pancakes and it looked like they made a pancake, smashed an oreo on top and shot some sprinkles on it from across the room. We watched kids come in from the outside and go back into the kitchen. We saw waiters dancing and laughing while the new waiter was struggling to learn his new job. Needless to say we...
