Rice Box — Restaurant in Huntsville

It's really a shame because this restaurant has really good food. Unfortunately, their management is verbally abusive to the staff and this results in a high turn over. I was a little behind the rest of my party and the waitress saw me come in and got my drink order. Not even a minute later, she came back and tried to start on my side of the table for the order, knowing I didn't have time to look at the menu. I politely reminded her that I had just seated. She went down the line and missed one order, even though my friend stated his order. She claimed she skipped him, but she wasn't paying attention. She didn't pay attention to the fact that I hadn't ordered, either, and walked off. This seemed to be a common occurrence, as she refilled drinks once during our visit (after we mentioned it) as well as several other issues. The menus and dirty dishes sat on the table the majority of the dinner. My food was first out and was barely room temperature. Three dishes took about 8 minutes after others got their food and an additional 10 minutes after that, we received the final dish. She came around and asked if anyone had ordered lo mein noodles before that last dish had come out and then claimed that it was an additional side to make up for the other food being late after just having asked if it was on anyone's ticket. She came back and asked every person who had what food, both when she served it and when she was making the tickets. She still managed to get them incorrect and had to redo one of them. I tried to give her my credit card and she walked away again. Now mind you, I had been very polite and friendly, because I don't believe in being rude, but she still managed to keep being rude specifically to me regardless. I cannot understand for the life of me why she is working as a waitress, because she was unable to do the majority of her work the entire time we visited. Best taste and freshness among all chinese takeouts in Madison and Huntsville all together. Chicken is not dark, old, not frozen for long. Maybe they circulate fast so chewy, good texture. Oil quality seems good they use. I order to make my general Tso chicken spicy, they use pepper seed oil which is very rare becaue it costs.

I had to look for this area to find a favorite General Tso lunchbox because I love it , tried 12 stores around this area and was disappointed and afraid 'Jesus, I can't find good general Tso combo here. Please help!!' Until I found this store. this store will be my choice for next 2 ywars, as long as I work here. I still miss General Tso chicken lunch box in NYC. But Rice box is in some of my top scores and enough to forget the box in my hometown.

I see most of negatives are related to delivery, service, or some non-food related issues. I found this store after covid 19 and order only through driveway, has never gotten inside for service. For takeout wise, it was fast, kind, perfect. Food in paper bag, not plastic bag makes me feel good. I like general chicken and fried rice in a seperate containers. Wonton soup was so great not salty. 95 of 100 score. I keep 5 for something later.(One complaint, the credit card Machine should near the window where custimers can see. The guy brought my card inside and processed where I cannot see)

I see people mark 3 stars and say 'food was great but delivery was late, 15 min wait with no response.' Those conplaints are not even deserved for this Chinese takeout with the best taste. It also caused me to try this store. Late after hanging other non tasteful general Tao around hwre.

Food wise, this store beats all other Chinese takeouts at least in the two...

So I am new to this area and I actually ran across this place by accident. I did enjoy the food. I was disappointed with the Customer Service though. My waitress was great but it was the young lady behind the counter who was having a conversation on the phone and with the other person talking about how the driver Crystal was a B word. I listened to her go on the whole time I was eating and there was another family of 6 in the place, myself, and a table with 2 people. She went on to say that Crystal called Tracy and so on and so on. When I was done eating I thought let me just go over and let her know it was very unprofessional and I think she should maybe pay attention to her surroundings before she was talking about her co-workers or putting the dirty laundry out in public. I told her I was not sure if I would come back because of that. I figured she would at least apologize or something but NO she did not even do that. She just looked at me like OK and what:) I am not sure who the manager is for this place but he or she needs to have a talk with this young lady about how you should keep the dirty laundry in the back office not out in the public's eye to see.
