Leafly Boba Bar — Restaurant in Huntsville

Unfortunately, I will not be able to come here to Leafly Boba Bar every single day, as I’d hope to, since I do not live in AL.

Every member of the staff is extremely nice and patient, and give good recommendations on what to get with certain drinks. They also seemed to have no problem when I pointed out they forgot the pearls in one of our drinks, and were kind enough to fill up two small cups with the pearls. (Don’t let the word small fool you; it seems the cups are designed to fit exactly one scoop of pearls, so they really gave us double pearls.)

The location is great, with stores and restaurants surrounding it. The inside is fun, too. It’s very welcoming, as there are a good number of tables, with a good selection of board games to play. Doesn’t seem to be any outlets, though, so bring a fully-charged device. There are two stations where you can order: at the kiosks or at the register. (Although, the kiosks weren’t working properly this time.) The restroom is also clean and spacious, and it looked like there were extra, reachable supplies in case of an emergency.

Lastly, the drinks. We’ve gotten 5 or so drinks from here. From what I remember:

The cookie butter milk tea tastes EXACTLY like Biscoff cookies; delicious.

The black sugar milk tea (their version of brown sugar boba) is great! Very smooth tea, suspiciously round and “qq” pearls, and not that sweet. Perfect!

The passion fruit tea was a punch in the face with flavor! (They told us that nothing is artificial, and the passion fruit purée they make is no exception!)

The matcha drinks are insane!! They say “ceremonial matcha” and I believe them. Super super smooth and earthy taste, but in the best way possible. The mango matcha tastes like REAL mango, and it complements the earthy matcha so well.

The strawberry matcha was also really good. The strawberry was everything I’d hope for.

The roasted oolong milk tea is ??? I’m astonished. I really don’t know how to explain it other than…roasted..oolong tea, but it’s amazing!

I haven’t tried any of the food they have here, but it’s typical snacks like chips, pocky, and even ramen (which is customizable)! (Not to mention, it’s my favorite packaged ramen, “Shin Ramen,” I believe...

This is the BEST boba place you will go to in all of Huntsville and even in the surrounding states. I say that, because I've traveled to so many and none of them had perfectly cooked soft boba like Leafly. Not only is their boba soft and a nice light chewy consistency, their flavors can not be compared to any other shop. Their flavors are all their own, nicely thought of and well crafted. Their specialty drinks are top notch.They have a great selection for different types of boba. So even if milk tea boba isn't your thing, well no worries, they got you covered! Besides the well know tapioca pearls normally found in boba drinks; Leafly also offers toppings like: aloe and shredded lychee jelly. Now for the atmosphere! As soon as you walk in, you're met with a fun bright lit room(but it definitely has a cozy feel on rainy days). Their menu is nice and big, so you can't miss it. They have a good seating section to the left, if you happen to bring a friend of two. Or if you want to study for that next exam(I see you college students). There are also single seats on the wall for other seating options. If you do happen to bring a friend or two, Leafly also offers board and card games. As they're open about wanting to create and cultivate an atmosphere to build community within the shop. So even if you happen to walk in by yourself, you may end up meeting new people to play uno with! Lastly, the staff there are so kind, helpful and welcoming! If you're not quite sure what to get or if you've never tried boba before, they're more than happy to give you suggestions! All in all, you CAN NOT go wrong giving this place a go! Really big fan of this new spot for boba. Tucked in near the old Atlanta Bread location, it's definitely worth seeking out!

Leafly offers a variety of drinks: simple, refreshing teas, milk teas, fruit teas, and their crema series, which is a tea drink (often milk tea, but not always) with a cap of salted crema on top. Lately, they've also had a build your own ramen bar going on -- packages of fancier ramen than your standard Maruchan with toppings available to add. They also usually have a selection of snacks like Pocky.

So far, I've tried the coffee milk tea, cookie butter milk tea, and their earl grey milk tea with salted crema brûlée. I've enjoyed all of them very much! I will say if you're used to reaaaaally sweet boba tea you may not find it here, BUT the staff is kind and helpful and would almost certainly gas the sweetness for you, AND since the drinks are not as sweet, you have more room to enjoy the lovely, clean, clear freshly brewed tea taste! You can taste the difference in all their drinks and I really love it.

The boba is fresh, chewy, and slightly sweet. I think they put just the right amount in each drink, too.

The interior has a fun, bright, modern vibe and it is CLEAN in there! Not once have I visited and seen a singular smudge or stain on any table or countertop or floor.

Additionally, the staff is charming, polite, helpful, and friendly. They remembered my name after only two visits and are more than happy to make recommendations. They rule!
