Absolutely disgusted and disappointed.
Went there today for two lunch meals. First issue: There were specks of various sizes, particularly bug shaped, in the Mountain Dew fountain drink. After several attempts to get a clean cup full of Mountain Dew, there were still specks coming out. We captured a 30 second video of our final attempts, which still found specks that look like parts of a wing and exoskeleton. When I brought it to their attention, they told me to try one of the other drinks as their solution! Which is simply unacceptable to suggest. If one spout is filthy, why would we trust the spouts of Pepsi or Dr. Pepper to be any cleaner? We would not have been able to see the filth if we had picked darker drinks. After some back and forth, I left without my full meal as they were not willing to accommodate this matter.
On to the second issue: Subway has had a price increase and their excuse is that all ingredients are fresh and meat is sliced daily in house. When I bit into my sandwich (because I'm trying to salvage my losses), I was met with the taste of stale bread (dry and overly chewy) and meat that tasted as if it was previously frozen and thawed, giving it a bland taste and disintegrating texture to chew. Between the poor quality and bad customer experience, I couldn't eat my sandwich; it was absolutely disgusting. This means I paid for a meal that I could not eat.
Last issue: This one is personal. Instead of focusing on the "bug in soda" issue, they complained about my "yelling" to my fiance who showed them the video. I never raised my voice or spoke to them disrespectfully, however, my matter of fact tone was translated as yelling, which came off as predjudice to me as a woman of color.
More importantly, complaining about the customer as they are complaining about filthy soda is a customer service failure as much as it is a health concern.
I will be contacting the health department and corporate.
