Super Chix has a good concept and a real good chicken sandwich. I had the Deluxe Chicken sandwich (fried) which includes pickles, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli. The bun was soft, nicely toasted and managed to keep the components corralled inside. I really like the chicken filet itself, both texture and flavor. I had the hand-cut fries (which are VERY uniform in size-somebody has excellent knife skills) and got them with the Cajun seasoning. Flavor was great but the fries were inconsistently cooked. Some were nice and crisp yet tender “inside” while half the fries were greasy and a little limp (maybe the grease wasn’t quite up to temp when the potatoes were dropped?) They DID serve a generous helping of fries; sadly, they are similar to Wendy’s fries in that when they cool off (which will be before you finish your sandwich) they aren’t nearly as good. The Cajun seasoning didn’t seem to be very pronounced but I’d need to try plain fries to really know. Their chicken filet is larger than CfA, but the price is, too. My sandwich, fries and tea (GOOD tea) came to $11.80 plus tax and a tip. Almost $15 at the table. Notice, they serve no Coke. Pepsi. BOO. Situational note: all employees wore masks, gloves and observed protocols. The dining area is industrial and clean. They have an outdoor patio which I didn’t visit (it’s 86°). The one major turnoff was an employee that was visible around the dining room and kitchen needs to adjust his clothing. His large stomach was hanging below his shirttail (I sympathize being overweight myself, but it was not appetizing.) I’ll probably be back, but most likely on Sundays, IYKWIM. Plus, I want to try the custard.

First thing is first, what they did right. The restaurant is nice. It’s too noisy for my liking, but people in general today don’t control their heathen children or have any manners, so that’s not really the fault of the restaurant. The chicken sandwiches are tender, sized nicely, and juicy. The tea is on point…and the ranch…yum! They certainly have something here, it just needs a little awakening. What is in need of improvement? The chicken has very little flavor. This could be easily addressed by aggressively seasoning their breading before applying it to the chicken. Get some cayenne in there for a touch of warmth, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and a few other things. That would make the sandwich pop! They have some super creative ideas so all they need is to step up the execution. The fries, not impressed at all except for the portion size which blew me away. I ordered a large Cajun fry and basically got the entire restaurant which was super impressive. They were wayyyyyyy over done. I basically got a pile of potato chips on my plate with essentially zero seasoning. I included a picture which shows some good fries in the top, everything under it let much to be desired. A French fry needs a lite crisp bite on the outside with actual potato on the inside. Cook them less! I couldn’t even eat them with a fork as they simply disintegrated when you’d try to stick em. And season the fries, when I ask for Cajun I expect some heat. Y’all have something here, truly. It just needs a little help.

I enjoyed my meal but I would not eat here again if I had a choice. Nashville Hot is a fickle mistress. One that's difficult to get right. You really have to have a fine balance between the heat and good flavor. Unfortunately Super Chix decides to go full on heat which does leave the flavor lacking. The fries are plentiful and pretty good and my wife's chicken sandwich was large and she enjoyed it. Service was good, very friendly folks. The prices are pretty insane I will say that. Very expensive. They also advertise jumbo chicken tenders but take a look at the photos and let me know if you think that the ones I was served really deserve that moniker. There are certainly better places to get chicken in Huntsville. I personally was disappointed based on the high review score. The group we ate wish shared similar sentiments, especially regarding price.

We are finally done with this Super Chix. Lord knows we have tried and please know…this review is about the service and not the food.

Multiple times in the past we have ordered pick up and a common issue is not getting a particular sauce ordered. No biggie but when we ask for it after checking the bag, we are treated like a petty thief trying to steal a few dollars. We generally order a salad and chicken fingers and with a family, we all have different requests. Again not too big a deal, but if you’re going to offer sauces in the restaurant for patrons to get any amount, don’t be upset if an online patron asks for a few more sauces or ones not placed in the order.

The food is always good so we have looked past the underwhelming service compared to many other restaurants. The food is not the issue but with so many other options, the poor service has become something it shouldn’t be. We have always loved the food.

Tonight, it’s the night before Thanksgiving. We understand many restaurants etc. close early. My wife ordered online and I was to pick it up on my way home. She tried calling at 6:15pm and never could get an answer (multiple calls). She ended up placing an online order around 6:52 and it stated it would be ready at 7:07. We had no idea it was closing at 7pm.

I arrived at 6:57 to find the doors locked and staff cleaning up inside. I waved, knocked on the door etc. only to get no response. I had to wait until the last couple left then hold the door to get in. I tried to call 3 times but I assume they would not answer as was the case at 6:15-6:45. This was approx 7:03 and I was met by a lady pointing me to the exit. I explained I was here to get an online order and didn’t appreciate not being let in.

No apologies were ever given. She turned around and gathered the online order which showed completed at 7:02pm. I checked the order and it looked correct but I knew we needed more ranch for a salad, pickles, and tenders. I could not get any from the bar so I asked her in which she replied “how many do you need?”In a sarcastic tone. That kept me from asking for any signature sauce and I decided that was it.

Closing early is ok. I get it but if you have an online order, check with persons coming up to the door and not leaving. Persons waving and knocking repeatedly. Don’t have an attitude because they ask for a few more sauces.

Food being great is what everyone wants, but being treated poorly or disrespectful will cause people to go to any of the other many chicken restaurants as we have...

I had driven by this place a few times after it opened, and it looked interesting. I had a long day at work and didnt feel like going out so we placed an order via grubsouth last night. Wait time was very long. The data from the app showed that the driver was at the restaraunt waiting on our order for an hour causing it to be delivered after the latest time they said it would be ( well after 9 pm).

We ordered a Nashville hot chicken salad, loaded fries, chicken tenders with regular fries, and a pint of vanilla custard. All of the fries were d-e-a-d. They looked like they had been sitting in the expo window under a heat lamp for hours. They were limp, dried out and been haphazardly thrown in to paper bags, that by the time they got to us were completely soaked through with grease. Like to the point that the bottom was about to fall out. Not a great first impression.

I had asked for extra green onions and they gave us a plastic ramekin with literally 4 slices of green onion in it. I should have been mad, but it was kind of funny because it just looked so sad. They also didn't include any dressing for my salad.

My wifes chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. Really bad look for a place whose whole thing is, y'know, chicken tenders.

My salad was...really good actually. The grilled chicken was well cooked and seasoned. The hot sauce was just the right level of heat, and i really enjoyed the fresh fresno peppers. Would have been nice if they had included the salad dressing though.

The custard... well, i would like to give an opinion on it, but we didn't get any. I mean, i paid for it, but it wasnt delivered with our order. So...thats a bit of an issue.

Overall, it seems like the food is probably pretty okay if you catch them on a good night or opt to dine in. They are really lacking (at least in my experience) in expo and execution. Hopefully they work it out, but right now it seems like ordering from them is a roll of the dice. This time I lost, and will not be trying...
