I had the police called on me when I was simply trying to use the restroom.
I’m an uber driver and had just done a 3 and a half hour trip to drop someone off in Huntsville. My stomach was in shambles so i stopped by this location in Huntsville, Al after dropping off my passenger to use the restroom and buy a sprite afterwards. I was in there for 30 minutes before the Huntsville police barged into the restroom saying that management called the police on me claiming I’d been there for 3 hours and that they wanted me to leave. I got up to leave , still not done handling my business, and left the bathroom and the officer is immediately asking me for my name and DOB , screaming at me in front of the entire restaurant and not even trying to hear me out. He even threatened to arrest me simply bc I didn’t want to give my DOB when i’d done NOTHING wrong.
The manager walks over and , instructed by the officer, tells me i’m banned from the store forever. I told him to check those cameras as there’s no way I’ve been there for 3 hours and left the store to go outside with the officer who continued to try to get more information from me. Right when the officer tried to dig more into the life, the manager and another worker comes outside saying that they made a mistake and that i’m the wrong person. They said the person was a skinny blonde white woman. Completely different from how i look as i’m a thick black woman. The officer said “ there appears to have been a miscommunication “ , doesn’t apologize for ego tripping and not listening to me and yelling at me while the manager gives out a few whimpy apologies.
This was an extremely frustrating, HUMILIATING, and hurtful experience to have gone through at Whataburger. This situation was handled completely wrong. Even if i was in the restroom for 3 hours, why would your immediate reaction to be to call the police instead of checking to see if I was okay first or even asking me yourself to leave first before calling the trigger happy, ego tripping police in the prejudice city of Huntsville, AL . Not to mention how i look nothing like the person they claimed to have been in there for 3 hours. Something needs to be done about this. Not only will I never visit this whataburger again but i will never spend my money at ANY whataburger. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. That could’ve left me in a really messed up situation. This if my life were talking about. I got in the car and couldn’t stop crying tears of frustration, confusion and humiliation.
This was Dec 23, 2024 around 8pm. This entire situation caused me emotional distress and trauma on top of not being able to finish relieving myself. Something needs to be...

I really wished I would’ve taken photos of the inside and how trashy it was…but this whataburger is gonna be the reason that most people of Huntsville, that want the originally outstanding experience that you’re supposed to get when eating out at this restaurant no matter what time you go in, however, when I went to order from here at like 1AM it was probably the worst fast food experience I’ve ever had, no one seems to care about their job much less the customers they’re dealing with. I ordered my food after waiting for the employee that was standing right in front of me to get finished conversing with someone that wasn’t even ordering, not to mention I’m pretty sure they were drunk…there were other customers that had been waiting for over 30 mins, so thereafter I ordered I needed to use the restroom…and holy smokes, could the bathroom be anymore filthy, toilet paper everywhere, and other things but I’m not gonna get into too much graphic detail but you could imagine what else. Then I come back to the lobby and probably waited 35 mins before I asked someone about my order, they then tell me it’s been ready but sitting in the warmer all this time after they claimed to have called my name, which isn’t true at all, also on top of that, I had previously at the beginning of my wait when I ordered, I asked the lady a few minutes after my order was placed if it would be any trouble to swap my sweet tea out for a shake, she said she would, but after waiting all that time to find out my order had been ready but just sitting in the warmer, I then asked another employee if I could go ahead and receive my shake…she replied with a claim that I’m not allowed to switch up my drink for a shake after I placed the order (which I’ve done before) even after I insisted to pay the difference, and after getting an attitude with me all because I wanted the shake I was told previously I could order, she comes up with this excuse that they don’t have any, and all the sudden they aren’t making any more shakes… in conclusion, despite the service, the food was still delicious, however, I’ll never return here at least to this store to order food EVER again…this place is a disaster and the employees are a disgrace to the franchise and make it questionable whether you should spend your hard earned money at any of these stores in worry that you’ll be treated this way elsewhere… God bless you all and I hope you don’t get...
Read moreI used to live in TX so by law and patriotic duty I LOVE W-a-B, which is why it pains me to write this review.
Problem 1) was over charged by $3+ when the drink with my meal was listed as none then I was charged for a large Coke. A manager type saw me looking at me receipt after I was mentally trying to make sense of how a $9 meal added up to over $15. There was a corporate type standing next to her when she figured out there was definitely something wrong and the corporate guy did the math in his head and confirmed I was over charged and even knew by about how much. He explained to her how to refund my card and charge the correct amount. The manager lady corrected and refunded my card. The original woman behind the register seemed new so I was inclined to give her a pass. She was also unaware of the W-a-B charity drive where collectible cups proceeds go to flood victims but again being new and at a location not in TX, I was willing to give her a pass and give credit to her for asking a manager who confirmed the flood charity promotion.
Problem 2) Unfortunately, I ordered a sandwich without cheese or sauce but I got one with both, the same woman that took my order originally, did get the written order correct and she went to the back to have a replacement made correctly. Some time later she returned with the “corrected” order.
Problem3) I checked the replacement sandwich and again it was incorrect. I spoke to the cash register woman again and she went back to get another replacement made when the manager intercepted her and after a conversation I could hear, came to me and asked exactly what I ordered. She was clearly frustrated but it did not come across as frustrated with me so much as with her line preparers.
Lastly, the floor near the drink machine was unbelievably slippery due to oil. I think who ever mops the floor is doing the kitchen first getting the mop full of grease and then doing the dining room without cleaning the mop head or using enough grease cutting soap.
I would likely have rated the service lower BUT, all the employees I interacted with 2 managers, what appeared to be a team lead or senior employee and the corporate type guy were pleasant and apologetic.
Eventually, they did get me a correct sandwich and it was hot and delicious so I will come back to this location but I hope they can correct the issues because I want to love this location and I want fellow Huntsvillians to have the experience that I...
