i-5's Bar and Grill/ THEE WHARF — Restaurant in Huron

Well, this was interesting. It has been a few years since I have come here. Went up to downtown Huron for the Wine and Art Festival. Go straight to I5's for a drink. Discover 80's band at festival is just across the outside bar. Let's stay here. The place was grossly understaffed. Saturday night in the summer with a festival going on and only a handful of employees scheduled. Handful is generous, only a few. Half the inside full and entire outside full. The first thing I see is a bartender literally running to complete her tasks and get orders out. Two waitresses and one bartender scrambling to work as a team that needed more staff. Amazingly these ladies held it together and kicked AS*! They did not deserve the hand dealt to them on this night. Completely unfair and negligent on whoever manages/schedules for I5's. Many customers wouldn't be able to see what I saw and blame staff for issues and not return. I will return based on what I saw from the staff. They should have felt defeated and I could understand if they had an attitude. They didn't. They were personable, enthusiastic, and unwavering. Behind the scenes I don't want to forget the kitchen staff. I would assume they or maybe he/she were also overwhelmed. Food was great and timely. Sarah (don't know if with an "h" or not) was a ROCKSTAR! She was the bartender I mentioned earlier. All over the place getting everything done best she could. And her best was amazing! Also found time to help out her servers who were also killer. This crew deserves better! Hopefully owners or managers, whoever is in charge could rise up and be inspired by these ladies to do as great of a job as them. Thanks for a great night. I hope yours improve. Stay...

I was visiting Huron on vacation. Went here to grab a quick bit to eat. Best "Cowboy burger" around!
