We love trying new places around southern Utah. I noticed this bakery go up in Hurricane recently and finally had a chance to try it today. It felt like a cute little European bakery with all their products beautifully displayed in glass cases. 10/10 for presentation. I ended up getting a caprese sandwich and vanilla cream crossant with a weird name, tabernacle or something. Both were delicious. The sandwich was exactly what I expected and easily compared with ones I had in Rome. Which is hard to find in the states. 10/10 for quality. The croissant was crispy with just the right amount of sweet and the perfect vanilla bean filling. REAL, HIGH QUALITY VANILLA BEAN! That alone deserves a 10/10 rating. With that said. One of the girls behind the counter was helping me and I asked if a sandwich could be changed when ANOTHER girl rudely jumped in and told me that it can't be amended and suggested other options. It almost felt like an attack from her. Then she went to do something else and left the first girl to help me. The first girl was pleasant, doing her job well, the second was rude. It might have been appropriate if the girl helping me was in training or didn't know, but the way it happened, she wasn't even given a chance to respond before the other one cut her off. Food was good, but not good enough to deal with a rude barista... possibly the manager or assistant manager. Bathrooms were clean. I don't like giving a poor rating on such a great place, I am sorry to say that the service dropped...
Read moreOur visit this morning was a little disappointing. We came for a breakfast sandwich and they had one breakfast sandwich option and it didn’t look good. We asked if they made them fresh and they said yes, then I said, so those sandwiches just sitting there are just on display? And they said, no, those are the sandwiches we give you, but they were made 15 minutes ago and are on a warmer. They looked way older than that and I’m sorry, but that is so gross. I want fresh food, not food on a warmer, especially when I’m paying that much. We got 4 different pastries and 3 of them were so bad, that we threw them away. The only one that was good was the pistachio kroughnut. I have to admit that the filling was quite delicious. I’m just not so sure it is worth coming back. The lunch sandwiches on display looked yummy, but I’m guessing those are also considered “fresh” but sit in the display case all day. There is a difference between having pastries served that way, but things with meat should not. That is gross. I do not want a pre-made sandwich like that at a bakery. If I wanted that, I’d go to Walmart or a gas station. Overall pretty...
Read moreWe discovered this gem of a bakery in Hurricane, Utah, today while driving to Zion National Park. The first thing we noticed was how crowded the bakery was, with people coming and going at a brisk pace, we instantly knew we had found the right place. Inside you will find freshly made and ready-to-go sandwiches, salades, a wide variety of tasty pastries, and amazing loaves of fresh baked bread. You will also be able to order your favorite flavor of coffee and tea or have an espresso. What makes this bakery stand out from the rest, all the pastries and breads are made daily here, which is why they taste so darn good. The bakery does have at least ten small tables inside and two outside the store if you choose to enjoy your drink and pastry on site. Almost forgot, wonderful staff, friendly, helpful and eager to direct you towards the most delectable pastries in the store. There is a limited amount of parking, which can make it difficult at times to find a place to...
