Easily TOP 3 of my FAVORITE restaurants in Chicago!
Though I haven’t had the chance to dine in, I did order! My first order, was followed up by a second the next day. That followed up to a third and finally fourth day!
This is what I ordered:
My number one favorite on the menu so far: „Ms. Patty Melt“ 5/5 - of course I ordered the 100% vegan option with added on onions. With a side of vegan ranch, this is your perfect fast food meal! Seasoned well, tastes delicious and texture was perfect. Dip the Ms. patty melt into some vegan ranch and Bon Appetit! The fries were also great!
Next I ordered „World Famous Chik‘n Nuggets“ - original not spicy. - 4/5 They were crispy and tasty! The reason why I give it 4 from 5 is; because they were good! Really good! But not the the best I’ve ever had. The title though, gave me very high expectations; had it just been „chik‘n nuggets, I would/could have been more „forgiving“.
Next up: „Hold up! Wait a min!“ Philly Cheesesteak - 4/5 - delicious sandwich! I can recommend it! I can however not give it a solid 5 because it did not taste as good as „ms patty melt“ in my opinion. It was good though! I did. Like the jalapeños that were added!
Last option: „Philly Chik‘n Egg Rolls. 3.5/5 also not my favorite but pretty tasty. The rolls were very crispy, too crispy for my taste. Still a good option! Just not my first choice in their fantastic menu.
Final Statement:
I was very happy to have found this place to order from. As a vegan, traveling the world; it can get difficult finding delicious places like this BUT… they do exist; you just have to search. To simplify your search, I can highly recommend this here restaurant! (I ordered- can’t speak for dining in)
Lastly, I musst also speak upon one unfortunate property. I am a vegan for many reasons, one of my most important reasons: Animal Cruelty. Therefor I cannot condone anything that involves this subject. This restaurant unfortunately also serves vegetarian food which itself, in a way; supports the whole matter of cruelty.
Therefore I hope and wish that one day this restaurant will turn into 100% animal cruelty free.
If you’ve read this review, thank you and Bon Appetit! You will find something delicious!

Read moreFirst impressions; lack of customer service, over priced and unprofessional. The young lady was very dry taking our order no smiles no welcome have you been here before etc. There were 2 cashiers in front I'm guessing 1 was training the other, however neither one of them asked us if we've been there before or shown any enthusiasm about the restaurant. We had to ask about menus and suggestions.1 of their suggestions wasn't as good as we thought it would be. The 3 suggestions were a pizza puff, the hamburger and philly. We went with the philly, pizza puff and since we had our 2 year old we decided to go with a hot dog instead of burger. For the price we paid for a really petite vegan hotdog, which was 8 dollars, it didnt come with fries and it wss drowned in the bun with heavy ketchup and mustard. The was taste ok. We we're hoping that it would be worth the price and the hype but it wasn't. The philly, was extremely disappointing they used ground vegan meat instead of a seitan or some form of steak like vegan meat, which would've been a better choice. They topped it with sour cream tomatoes and cheese and it tasted more like a sour taco sandwich/hoagie then a philly and it wasnt the best after taste, so If you are looking for a similar Philly taste don't expect it because it isn't like a Philly in any sense. Also it didnt come with any fries either. For 14 dollars it should've came with fries. The pizza puff was actually the best one and it actually came with fries and it was 13 dollars. We also ordered a side fry for $3, which was seasoned and the fries were actually good. To finalize my review, I gave it a 1 star because there were more cons then pros and the last con was I had to ask them to change there music because it wasn't decent for children in any way. For this location this should be a place where if you bring your kids they can make everyone feel comfortable as well. I don't recommend this place unfortunately. There are better vegan transitional restaurants in Chicago elsewhere. Hopefully they will make some changes cause we aren't planning a...
Read moreMy group waited over 40min for Lasagna, Philly, Burrito, with a smoothie and fries. The food was late coming out and then when it did, we had to wait on a smoothie. I wanted to cancel the smoothie order but was given a replacement, which tasted like starburst candy coated in frosting and didn't meet the expectation of the price point. The Lasagna is nothing like the image, and the other pasta dish is spaghetti. I had bowtie and penne noodles that were on their way to mush with a barely toasted Turano bread half with a wad of butter only on the middle third. The flavor was sweet and salty from the sauce and cheese, not a bad thing but thats all there was along with not much spinach. The upcharge from spaghetti to lasagna along with changing the pasta anyway isn't cool. The Philly wasn't up to the expectations from the pictures either, the bread fell apart but wasn't from being juicy. The flavor that stood out was the jalapenos and bread. The cheese wasn't really melty and the "meat" was underseasoned. My partner hasn't eaten their burrito because we were late coming home, which the order went in at 12:34 and I was walking out around 1:20. I really appreciated the Flexitarian description which I'm assuming folds in with the company's philosophy, I hope it was from an off day trying to get back into the rhythm of things in our pandemic era. There is a sign to acknowledge a wait time of at least 20 min, the staff makes it aware during the ordering portion too. What is disappointing is that even with being late, it didn't seem the food came out made with love. My family was celebrating a 55th birthday strolling about at Washington Park, this spot was the last stop of the adventure and flopped. Coming from the Humboldt Park area, it's not as if we travel near by often either. This isn't to bash the place for not meeting my expectations, it is to communicate that the hype and flash is...
