AKIRA — Local services in Hyde Park Township

I stopped in after my daughters finished a mini 5k race at soldier field to have a girls day. As I’m shopping through racks they are 2 feet away from me near the shoes when the salesmen “Justin” said to my 8yr olds, “Go find yo people” don’t touch nothing, don’t move anything around as I’m cleaning up. It was 3:30pm on a Saturday. He did not realize I was they people as I was right next to them. I was honestly shocked by the tone and lack of respect towards someone’s children and I also had to look within and realize if a person is in that state of being, why are they hired as a salesperson. I also know there was lack of intelligence and overall human decency so there was no need for me to correct a person in such a low vibrational state. I did pass the information to the manager but I did get corporates information online and from him as I will be reporting to all lines of command because the overall service was quite an embarrassment for the Hyde park neighborhood. I am truly concerned with the structure of hiring and accountability for associates working in Akira as this is the first time I’ve ever experienced this type of service. I love Akira and since I live in Phoenix I usually buy everything online. I saw a dress I wanted online and call the location because they didn't have it in my size I was told that there were three of them. When I arrived in Chicago and went to the store several people said they could not find it. I wanted the dress for a memorial service that I was attending for my sister. I went to the checkout and the girl was very helpful and went and got her visual manager whom she said would know everything on the floor. Within 10 minutes she found the dress with several others. I was so grateful that she took the time and was able to help. On top of that the dress was 50% off! The store is really poppin and you can spend a lot of time in there because they have so much in stock. The only complaint is things are not well organized and you can get overwhelmed. But I love their clothes, the quality and selection. For me it's just better to shop online because I can separate things in categories and find...
