Carl's Red Hots — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Carl's has been in the community all of my life but the service is not that of a business that cares for the community it serves. Today Chicago is covered with slick ice, after work I cat walked to Carl's for a gyro platter and carefully walk home on ice, arrived home to enjoy my sandwich before it was completely cold and found no cucumber sauce, which in my opinion is almost as important as the meat. I am disappointed! I called and was told by Raul (the name I was given) to walk back in the cold on the ice after a long day at work. His next offer was an extra cucumber sauce with my next order. I asked for a milkshake and was told no because the sauce cost only 80cent and the shake $3-- to heck with the inconvenience or the fact that my sandwich would be cold and worthless by the time I walk there and back. So I'm stuck with a huge dry $10 gyro platter. Don't bother to stop in Carl's is you have another option, try Kennedy's instead located at 72nd and Phillip's if you don't have to...

Ok so the food was disgusting please save your coins maybe 10 years ago they were good but today 2015 they are horrible. What I got Two milk shakes one strawberry not real and soupy, the 2nd one all melted, the sodas nothing but syrup. Ok now that disgusting arse food: A gyro the pita was not grilled their gyro sauce tasted like mayo it was horrible the best thing was the onions. My friend food: Italian combo the meat was seasonless the sausage was more like a hotdogs now the tacos, no season super dry. I will never and I mean never even of this food was free and I hadn't ate in weeks eat at Carl's again. Dont buy the burger. I ordered the double cheeseburger. After a couple of bites, it tasted off..almost to the fact it waa tasteless even with everthing on it. But the worse part was about an hour later until the rest of the night, it gave me the runs! It was the only thing i ate that day because i was starving. Prior to that, i had waited in a popeyes line for 30 minutes. When i got to the intercom, they said 40 minutes to wait. I left. Thats when i saw red hots. I had remembered red hots before but could remember why i was hesitant to go. But i was to hungry to care. Then i remembered when i ate the fries. No salt. Totally bland. But i didnt care.
