Carl's has been in the community all of my life but the service is not that of a business that cares for the community it serves. Today Chicago is covered with slick ice, after work I cat walked to Carl's for a gyro platter and carefully walk home on ice, arrived home to enjoy my sandwich before it was completely cold and found no cucumber sauce, which in my opinion is almost as important as the meat. I am disappointed! I called and was told by Raul (the name I was given) to walk back in the cold on the ice after a long day at work. His next offer was an extra cucumber sauce with my next order. I asked for a milkshake and was told no because the sauce cost only 80cent and the shake $3-- to heck with the inconvenience or the fact that my sandwich would be cold and worthless by the time I walk there and back. What I got Two milk shakes one strawberry not real and soupy, the 2nd one all melted, the sodas nothing but syrup. Ok now that disgusting arse food: A gyro the pita was not grilled their gyro sauce tasted like mayo it was horrible the best thing was the onions. But the worse part was about an hour later until the rest of the night, it gave me the runs! It was the only thing i ate that day because i was starving.
