Hoagy House — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Been coming here as a second option to Joji. It's been decent until two issues in one week. First time, I ordered from Uber Eats and as soon as I ordered the delivery time updated past one hour for delivery in the app. There was not a cancel order option in the app as suggested so I called Hoagy House and asked them to cancel on their end but I still wanted the food and I'll be there in 5min. They said they couldn't cancel on their end. When I got there they suggested I wait for the delivery driver... After complaining they finally cancelled the order through Uber Eats (which they previously said they couldn't do). Second time, I ordered through Uber Eats and when my food was delivered the fish taste like old grease. I called to complain and was told that the fish is cooked in grease so it will taste a little like grease. I said I'm unhappy with my food and would like to know how the issue can be corrected. They said there is nothing they can do for me. I told them I wouldn't be patronizing their business anymore, they apologized...

Currently Working with my lawyer towards suing this restaurant, ordered two original 12 inch hogay with (NO ONIONS) off grubHub. Without checking my little sisters sandwich before she quickly starts to eat. I find her on the floor , suffering for oxygen. Yea she is Allergic to Onions! When I order I simply put ( NO ONIONS) in capital letters. So when I called them to speak on the huge mistake that they've done , the Manger totally denied that I ordered the sandwiches from them. I have screen shots proving I did. Not only did they almost killed my little sisiter, who's currently still in the hospital due to this accident , & denied the poor service they've provided to me, The person I was on the phone were so rude . When I said I was suing he instantly hung up in my face . I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. I wish I could give No stars. SEE YOU GUYS IN...

Just from the very looks of this restaurant, you would think that it is just your average, run down mom's and pops food joint in the hood. But that is where you would be wrong. At least, that was my experience. When I first walked it, I was like....why did my girlfriend tell me: "let's go here to eat." I was like, "Okay....I'm hungry, why not?" So I go in, and let me tell you...the long line inside of the establishment, was well worth the food and service that they displayed to their customers. People was getting custom this and that made, they was extra courteous and the food was at a very reasonable price too. So, if you're interested in some good food and you know how I (J) feels, make sure to hit this spot up whenever you get...
