This was a really cute spot! My partner and I went after hearing about it in Block Club, and it's nicely located on the end of the block with a good view of the Metra Electric. The staff were very courteous and the coffee was good. The food was also good, but I will warn that their kitchen space is small and they cannot make that much food at once - a table of several people had ordered just before us and so we had to wait a while before getting our food. The vibes were great though, as was the coffee - I would just check with the person at the register about how many food orders are ahead before ordering any hot meals if you're on a time crunch! Update: Decided to give them a second chance and I was even more disappointed. The coffee was still bad. The baristas working were rude and acted like they were annoyed that they had to actually work. On top of that, they didn't know how to actually make a matcha (which is on their menu).

As a barista of 11 years, the espresso is very disappointing especially for the prices. If you're going to charge specialty coffee prices then you MUST match the quality. Maybe you all need someone to come properly train your baristas so they can know what they're doing and also, perhaps, get a better quality of bean. Sorry but NO BUENO. I've been here 3 times and will not spend another dollar in here again.
