It’s a shame because the food itself is good. I would have liked more mild bbq sauce on my tips but that was a minor issue. The glaring problem with my mini tip meal was not the quality it was the quantity. If the cashier hadn’t been so nice to me during my visit there I would have brought the food back and asked for a refund because for $17 I literally got one mini hot link and 8-9 small thinly cut rib tips over about 15 French fries served in a 3x3in styrofoam container that is generally used for that half of sandwich that you have left from lunch and reluctantly decide take home knowing full well that you will most likely throw it away because there wasn’t enough food left there to even be called a snack. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the portion size. I literally laughed out loud when I pulled the container out of the bag and thought to myself “this can’t be right” but when my hand could reach no further into the bag I came to the realization that there was no more food and was so shocked that I was at a loss for words. The red beans and rice were not like the red beans and rice i usually get with a soul food plate these were gigantic kidney beans slapped on top of white rice with no seasoning so you just taste kidney beans instead of red beans and rice. The greens were not seasoned at all just plain boiled greens. The yams were really delicious and sweet i have no complaints there. The mini tips were a bit chewy and not tender or falling off the bone like I like with my ribs and carried this red mild sauce instead of brown barbecue sauce but the flavor wasnt bad. The dressing had a weird after taste and wasnt that great and the jerk wings were plain with no spice or seasoning. So overall my plate was about a 3/10 and I would not recommend or purchase...

I came up to Chicago to get my hair done and was turning right back around to get on the road. I stopped here because the one on Lincoln Highway is closed. It was literally 10:55a and I walked in. The door was wide open because it look like they were trying to let some smoke out. All the food appeared to be done and ready. Mind you, Google says they open at 11:00 a.m. Do yall know that man did not serve me?? I said what time do you open he said oh in about 10 minutes or so. Mind you, it'll be 11:05a at that point.
