Pulled into the lot and immediately was turned off; looked like two drive thru lines but one was closed and no signage to indicate where to go. Got to the menu board and after about five minutes of looking, realized the item that we wanted was not on the board; was rushed to order the entire time (there was no one but us in line at the time). Was told that the item we wanted - a cheesy gordita crunch - could be ordered but wasn't on the menu board; was told there was no nacho fries available and couldn't order the deluxe cravings box (instinct said pill off then 🤷🏾♂️) but ordered two STEAK grilled cheese burritos and the cheesy gordita crunch with the Doritos Los taco in supreme form. After being told to re-ride thru the drive thru (with only one person behind us) received (for my $28+ purchase) three rice burritos with ground beef and Doritos chips in it, two supreme tacos, a shytt ton of sauce packets we didn't even ask for, and a large Dole strawberry lemonade (actually the only GOOD thing in the order. Didn't even feel like going back to attempt a second try... should've listened to my girl and drove off 😔.
Want my advice, sorry to say this about the one in the BLACK neighborhood, but save yourself the trouble and go to the Taco Bell Cantina in Hyde Park off 53rd...we did the same night this happened and got EXCELLENT service and EXCELLENTLY prepared food!
Update 7/3/2023: After writing the review and looking at my receipt; I finally noticed after my anger subsided and I looked at the receipt, that I DIDN'T EVEN GET the Mexican Pizza I ordered...
Read moreThe line was extremely long very long wait but that's fine my issue was the service itself! We wait in the line for literally 30 mins for the guy on the speaker to tell us oh sorry we're not taking two separate orders I'm like ok that's fine I didn't want to place a separate order anyway I order my food and then I start to order another meal ALL ON THE SAME ORDER he then says again we're not taking separate orders so I'm like ok forget my whole order because your not understanding this is one order. I get to the window and told him and he says "oh I didn't understand" then his manager that came to the window as well tells me well you got to go back around and order again! At this point the line is almost out the street but I keep my cool and do it anyway. ANOTHER 30 MINS go past I order my food again I get to the window and say sorry I forgot to add one more taco. The guy at rhe Window says sorry you can't add on anything you got to go around. I'm like forget it! But the second passenger in the car was like NO let me speak to a manager. The manager comes to the window with the Devils attitude and said I have to go around, the passenger in the car stated we been around twice and we just forgot to nbn get an extra taco The Manager smacked her lips and said just give them their damn taco HORRIBLE SERVICE! So go home after 1hr total of waiting and my "hot and fresh food was COLD" ! I love Taco Bell but this one right here does not deserve to...
Read moreSkimped on all toppings, even lettuce which is odd considering there's normally too much lettuce and that's what you get the most of. Sour cream, meat and cheese were on one side of the taco like not evenly spread out. My second taco had a hair in it. Drive-thru operator wasn't that nice but everyone is entitled to a bad day so, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm always super nice to those who handle my food and sometimes it's reciprocated, other times it's not. You never know what someone else is going through though. He really seemed like he didn't want to be there which, no one really WANTS to work fast food but if you choose to then positive customer service is expected and comes with the job. Nowadays though no one seems happy. It's tough out there and the struggle is real with this current economy. 4 tacos were over 13 dollars, it's insane how much inflation has gone up. Used to be able to get a case of 12 tacos for the same price as the 4 I got today. It sucks because I love taco bell and feel so poor that I can't even...
