I ordered the jerk shrimp fettuccine Alfredo w/broccoli. I asked him what else is in it. He told me spinach, tomatoes, and lettuce. Never seen lettuce in a pasta, so I said please don’t add lettuce. He told me 15mins, I said cool. That’s about right for that time for pasta and the ingredients. My stuff was ready in 5, which was a shock and when I got home and opened the container, it made sense. No spinach, no tomato, mushy pasta, and a loose Alfredo w/a tiny piece of garlic bread. It’s edible for the neighborhood, but this isn’t chef worthy. I wanted to give this place a chance without looking at the reviews, and I’m mad I had to make this review. This dish lacks training. I’m saying this because I’ve been in this for 30+ years and was hoping that there was a gem in the neighborhood. So either the person who took my order was not trained well, or the cook just was lazy in the process and wanted to go home. You can cook 40 great dishes in a shift, but all it takes is one dish to mess with an establishment. Each plate you put out has your name on it. And the shrimp were overcooked. Read moreI want to first disclose that I have been a long-time customer here at SS, and have nothing negative to say about the food itself. This establishment has always produced quality/ health-conscious food. Albeit slightly inconsistent in flavor, depending on what time of day you order. But I will not be purchasing another item from SS ever. In large part, because of how my most recent Ubereats order was handled. I eagerly placed an order at 7:50 pm, and was assured delivery was estimated between 35 - 45 minutes. Close, but still a moderate window before their closing at 9 pm. I watched as my delivery time came and went, and two possible delivery drivers along with it. They tried to stay and receive the order, but SS never seemed to be done "wrapping it up". I finally resolved to inquire about the hold up around 8:50. I called SS, and successfully reached a worker after multiple rings. But before I could explain my situation or voice my needs, the gentleman quickly declared " Sizzling Skillet, we're closed!" click. Read moreI will never order Sizzlin Skillets again. This is my fourth order from this restaurant that has been messed up. On this last order, I paid for shrimp on the side, however, I did not receive them. When I called the restaurant, the worker hung up on me, I called back multiple times, and the call kept being answered then abruptly dropped. I then received a call back about 20 minutes later, and was told the following: "I can offer you a 10% discount on your next order, or we can take care of you next time." I told him that I will be coming up to get the food because I paid for it, and he preceded to laugh and hang up on me again. When I arrive at the store to get my order, the employees were laughing/joking and not paying attention to the point that another patron had to complain about their order being messed up also. When I did get the shrimp, it was cold, overcooked, flavorless, and rubbery. Honestly, the whole order was flavorless.
