Stan's Donuts & Coffee — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I love Stans donuts. So I’m giving this a 5 star even though I just had a not so awesome experience. I love the veggie breakfast options and the coffee and the customer service. I love how sweet and friendly the staff is to my dog. Today unfortunately there were no vegetarian breakfast options which is fine. I am not sure what happened to my coffee. Either someone else took it, or it was never actually made. I heard the lady call out my order and someone else took all the coffee there. Then she called out a different order and I asked her what had happened to mine and she pointed at a gentleman near the trash can as if he had taken it. I should have asked her to remake my order and she should have offered to do so instead of blaming that poor innocent man. I asked the confused man if he wanted to trade back our coffees assuming the one she had just made was for him since he was the last one to order. He agreed but seemed very confused. When I drank the coffee it wasn’t even the one I had ordered. No I just feel terrible about myself and upset at the situation especially how that poor man was treated. I wish I could find him...

Omg this is a must try donut shop. I entered Stan’s this morning around 6:15ish and the young lady behind the counter was so nice. She greeted me with I smile and ask how she could help. I shared with her this was my 1st time in the store & I need a moment to browser the menu. So she continued helping took other customers while I was decided what I wanted.

Once I made a decision I placed my order and she was very helpful with answering my questions and serving me. Her great customer service made me feel warm & welcomed. It’s nothing like receiving great service with a smile.

I ordered 1/2 dozen of standard donuts and 1/2 dozen of specialty donuts and a mango dragon fruit Stan’s refresher and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious. I’m at work wired and ready.

I also enjoyed the carrot cake donut it was so fresh and delicious. It even had pieces of carrot in it. Now that’s a donut. Made with love and tasted amazing.

Thanks Darryl for being the highlight of my day. I’ll certainly be back to visit real soon.

I am not a donut person, really. My favorite donut is a cake donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. I know it’s basic, but trust me, there are good and bad even among a basic donut like that. I decided to stop in and try Stan’s since I was staying at Hyatt Place and craving something sweet. I was not expecting much but that was easily the best cake donut I ever had. The outside has a crispness to it (not all chewy and tough like your store bought variety) and the inside is moist and fluffy. Amazing! Even the frosting was a step above with its rich chocolate flavor. A Stan’s donut and a Dunkin’ donut should never share a plate, is all I’m saying. I came back to get a dozen on my last day and there were no cake donuts with chocolate frosting and sprinkles 🥲🍩 . I had to settle for a vanilla and a devils food - still very good!
